Scott is my favorite sound and he can do it all. I saw him in Bend, Oregon in 1996 (or so). I came away thinking - wow, he sounded like Stan Getz - smooth as butter. As I listened to him more and more - I love his variety and full sound.
I love listening to Scott Hamilton, he has got such a great sound, his timing as discussed is fantastic and he makes all his solos on ballads sound so simple. Thanks for this video
I love listening to Scott Hamilton, plain and simple. I found him playing with Joan Chamorro, Rita Payes, and other notable musicians. Just love his smooth, silky, velvety tones.
Scott Hamilton: a living icon! Even though he is about the same age as me I only discovered him after the advent of TH-cam! His solos are some great ones to transcribe. I really like his collaboration with the kids in Barcelona.
Thanks for this video…I have to admit, I had never heard of Scott Hamilton (outside the US Olympic ice skater!) until your video…Absolutely love his sound, style, and music! He is now on the play list!!!
Real life lessons. One, have your voice by your twenties. Two,play with someone with impeccable timing. Three, have your own band where you can do whatever you want. For the rest of us... never give up.

Thanks so much for embellishing who and what Scott is talking about, Nigel. His history provides a wealth of sound!
Excellent! I love Hamilton's playing. So melodious are his improvisations!

14 minute video about jazz ballads, and we don't hear a jazz ballad played by Scott Hamilton, the guest.
Scott Hamilton is one of my favorite saxmen... have many of his albums 😁🎼
