It doesnt go to 50%. The battery warms up as you use it and you can even preheat the battery, store the vehicle in a modestly inulsated garage, etc. The 50% range loss is temporary like a gas car it's temporary until it warms up (albeit a ICE will warm up faster and become efficient. 1000 mile goal he was clearly looking away from the camera. He doesn't believe it.
the 25 kWH battery will likely reach the 250 range. 45 kWH battery will reach 400 mile range. See that extra 5kWH? It's to help move around nearly double the amount of battery weight. A 1000 mile range will likely require a 120 kWH; that's a lot of weight. In comparison a Model 3 Long Range (~310 mile range) has a ~74 kWH battery.
What I think they can achieve easily is 900 miles with 100 kWH battery. She'll be heavy for the Aptera's body structure and the springs on the wheels will need to be adjusted or replaced for the weight but it could it. I'm making a wild guess that it will be $55,000 for the 900 mile range Aptera first shipping in late 2026.

Yes, worldwide is the plan. But I imagine they'll end up focusing on sunny climates and eager buyers

Will it or won't it? Will it go the way of the Solo? Just no demand for this at all. The pre-orders are barely enough to make the hype videos.

@@LarryDickman1 when people figure out back bar or even a midsize it's oversized for a two-seater I think you missed the mark. Plus the practicality of trying to dodge potholes with a three wheel vehicle in Los Angeles is almost impossible.

My understanding is the knock knock feature is only available when you're in close proximity, using the phone as the key.

"Not safe" like my Ford isn't safe, because all I have to do is pull the door handle, get in, and push a button to start it.🙄
