@staceygram5555 Yes, all the BBQ, beer, and alcohol were included in the price of the ticket. I got there at 11 when it opened, I probably ate 3 or 4 times (serving sizes were small personal sizes) brisket, sausage, ribs, etc etc. i left about 5pm and they were still serving food.
Great turnout. Almost didn't watch because August 3rd was the day I lost My Dear Sweet Beautiful Daughter Jessica. She's been gone for 7 years and I still can't wrap my mind around the fact Jessica is gone. Seeing you all having fun truly warms my Heart. Love From Michigan and it's a beautiful evening. BTW I have 2 children whom are Texans.

Yep the solar panels over the parking area would be a good way to provide shade and power, one of the guys I was waiting with at like 9:30 had that idea

Looks Fabulous! Suggestion for next summer - plan 3 or 4 of them! Different vendors, Different themes (one for kids?) Maybe one on 3 or 4 day holidays, too. I know it's tons of work. but owning a Resort will always be tons of work! Congratulations, you ARE bringing the "abandoned" resort back to life.
I was looking at that giant field and imagining the epic corn or hay maze that could be built in that area.. I have a feeling no matter what he's gonna do great things :)
While videos of events isn't my thing it's really cool to see the place starting to come alive again. There's years of work left, but already it's gone form "look how destroyed everything is" to a place people come to enjoy themselves. That's an achievement right there.

So, can we get an Al Frugoni restaurant AT Desperado Ranch when it's fully operational? That would be pretty awesome. Maybe a smaller venue, like less than 20 tables, book in advance.
The sheriff's are out there to make sure everybody is having fun and obeying the rules and not making a stink at a wholesome event. Matt and his crew/friends/etc. are 100% capable of taking care of themselves and do not need security.....(i.e. people are definitely carrying if others decide to act like idiots at an event everyone is just enjoying)

I thought that looked like Zombugg when he passed the camera over it. Y'all should do something with some of the others that have lifted 4x4 cars. Shawn Cross has a diesel Crown Vic named Greta with something like 52" rear tires in east Texas, there's a place here in Chattanooga with a dually '49 Packard, and Death Wish had several more show up to their Mud Buggy Adventure a few years ago.
Am I the only one hoping that I'd see even the blurriest of sightings of Mere and Matt's kids in the video? I totally understand and support Matt's decision to keep them off camera. But it makes me kind of sad knowing we're never going to see their wholesome, loving interactions that help make people fall in love with this channel.

You should do this annually or semi annually. It’s a great fundraiser for the resort and is going to boost business when the place is fully open. Plus it’s fun for the fans. There are a few more events I’ve seen suggested that could go well. You can do a few car shows, and Oktoberfest. I think those two would be great additions.

It was so much fun. My kids absolutely loved swimming in the river. The food was amazing. Glad we made this our summer vacation.

While videos of events isn't my thing it's really cool to see the place starting to come alive again. There's years of work left, but already it's gone form "look how destroyed everything is" to a place people come to enjoy themselves. That's an achievement right there.

So, can we get an Al Frugoni restaurant AT Desperado Ranch when it's fully operational? That would be pretty awesome. Maybe a smaller venue, like less than 20 tables, book in advance.

The sheriff's are out there to make sure everybody is having fun and obeying the rules and not making a stink at a wholesome event. Matt and his crew/friends/etc. are 100% capable of taking care of themselves and do not need security.....(i.e. people are definitely carrying if others decide to act like idiots at an event everyone is just enjoying)

Y'all should do something with some of the others that have lifted 4x4 cars. Shawn Cross has a diesel Crown Vic named Greta with something like 52" rear tires in east Texas, there's a place here in Chattanooga with a dually '49 Packard, and Death Wish had several more show up to their Mud Buggy Adventure a few years ago.

Am I the only one hoping that I'd see even the blurriest of sightings of Mere and Matt's kids in the video? I totally understand and support Matt's decision to keep them off camera. But it makes me kind of sad knowing we're never going to see their wholesome, loving interactions that help make people fall in love with this channel.

You should do this annually or semi annually. It’s a great fundraiser for the resort and is going to boost business when the place is fully open. Plus it’s fun for the fans. There are a few more events I’ve seen suggested that could go well. You can do a few car shows, and Oktoberfest. I think those two would be great additions.
Oh man, I hadn't thought of a car show, but that would be right up Matt's alley.
