The magnamatic sight too is a very robust and effective sight tool I've bought. Also the absolute easiest way to remember which was the the front post goes whether up or down, left or right is to chase the post to your point of impact on the target. So if you bullet is hitting high and to the left your front post needs to go up and to the left too.

Brownells sells an AK-47 sight adjustment tool , called the Mag- Na- Matic, it is the absolute best tool for adjusting the sights on an AK-47. It is forged and hardened stainless steel and very reasonable priced.
Before you start adjusting the sight, you need to learn how to hold the weapon correctly and aim correctly. Bullets can lie to the right or left of the aiming point due to the collapse of the weapon to the right or left of the vertical axis. You can check the correctness by the "horns" protecting the front sight. If they are parallel to the horizon, and the bullets fall to the right or left, then this is a problem with the sight. Otherwise it's your mistake. Above or below the bullets will lie if the rear sight and front sight are not aligned correctly. Therefore, do not rush into the settings if you have not mastered the correct technique of holding and aiming
