This game has grown so much with the DLC and it’s a shame we probably won’t be getting many more and it’s too bad it doesn’t get more love

I'm pleasantly surprised that this game got so much DLC... despite being relatively niche. This shows that someone cared about this product despite the lack of opportunities for huge profits.
I need to buy at least season 1.

Battle Star Galactic is the best show on earth, ever! I'm absolutely gobsmacked as to why no game company has ever created a 1st person shooter/adventure game out of the franchise.

You mean the 70s show? That was hot stinking garbage. And yes, BSG the modern and far superior one that might be PC if that is what you consider progressivness and general decency when treating its characters. What made it so great was that it portrayed the characters as actual people, not gender stereotypes. Neither gender was perceived better or worse than the other and every character had flaws. They were human.
But I guess people like you find a lacklustre Star Wars Rip Off with extremly boring and troped characters interesting...

I presume this is considered canon with the TV show. Does this mean that the Galactica is a 'Jupiter' class battlestar the same way that the Pegasus was a 'Mercury' class?

@@jackmehoff4429 The Pegasus was a Mercury-Class Battlestar that was created well after the First Cylon War. The Jupiters were made during the First Cylon War. Jupiter Battlestars relied on heavy armor and many weapon batteries. The later Battlestar classes would begin to slowly rely more and more on electronic counter-measures instead of pure armor like the Jupiter-Class.
This looks and sounds really good, look forward to playing.

It makes sense. The newer base stars were not seen until after the opening of the new BSG show.
I hope they release DLC at some point that faces off against Cylon basestars and raiders
@@AIRburst95 you can just do a skirmish and choose what ships you want you and your opponent to use. You can even edit the fleets, I just did a skirmish playing as 2 Jupiter battlestars and I ripped into 6 classic basestars and it was awesome 👌

Actually no. The admiral is not necessarily in charge of logistics and day to day administration, that is the job of their operations officer.
The Admiral would exclusively be in command of battles.
Could be a senior captain in command multiple ships. Western rank structures which the Colonial Navy is based on aren't so rigid that it has to be an "admiral".
@@ravenknight4876 Yep, or more specifically an entire command staff executing the Admiral's intent, conducting the planning, executing the logistics and putting them pieces into position for the Admiral to command......since her time is primarily spent in bureaucratic morass, politician hand holding, and meetings

Thanks for uploading this. I can play the game on Linux with Proton quite happily, but the only flaw is that the cut scenes don't work.

@@newguy3588 Definitely do, and if you're gonna play the campaign (which I see no good reason not to), then also consider getting the first two DLC. The first one adds more ships, and the second a whole new set of missions which are just as canon as the main ones.

Edit: The other DLC campaigns are canon as well, but the og Deadlock campaign is basically half as good without The Broken Alliance.
Only issues I have with the Jupiter model in the game is it's not, to my knowledge, setup properly with the Jupiter class's actual wartime armaments.
The version your thinking of is the Mk2 Jupiter Refit, which is 2 versions ahead of the Jupiter’s we see, the MK2 is what the Galactica is during the main series

@@grigss3027 you'd have a point if this was a nice name. Colonization however means the forcefull conquest and extortion of the lands and ressources of a native people by foreign invaders, followed by a possible genocide.
Makes little sense to make such a treaty, does it ? And they could have named it Picon Military Pact, Picon Treaty Organization, Articles of Federation, or really anything but that.
I suspect the text basically reads "Fuck you. Do what Caprica says or you see the business end of the Jupiter instead of the operator's end." That's a summary anyway.

I wish we could have another TV show depicting the events of the first cylon war, HOWEVER I want the guyz who selected the previous BSG cast to select the hypothetical new one, cuz I mean.. BSG's cast was absolutely FLAWLESS (exept for jamie bamber that actor was bs)

They made a pilot episode, problem was they made it about Adama's youth of the first cylon war and they made him a arrogant prick with a lot of bullshit story instead of keeping it simple.

While it is currently a hypothetical discipline, it would be much more realistic for military spacecraft to take the form of submarine-like bulks rather most aesthetically pleasing designs you're used to see in fiction.
A submarine-like bulk:
-has fewer points vulnerable to mechanical failure under stress
-easier to isolate sections exposed to vacuum (damage control)
-important compartments like command and control, life support, reactor spaces can be embedded deep in the inner hull
-easier to construct and integrate
