There are things you can only achieve by putting in the effort. Everyone has different priorities and preferences, just like with switches, so it’s only natural. That's why I don't force my preferences on others.
@@KeebTaro Pretty sure WS3.1 and Paigu are completely different stabs, paigu/maiz stabs are clip-in only, I've also heard really good things about them.
Looking at the product photos of Maiz and Stupid, there seems to be a large gap between the stem and the housing. While there might be less noise, the wobble seems likely to be significant.
LOL yeah i was so surprised too with the typeplus stabilizer, i was like why is the hole blocked?! in my surprise thereS A LEFT N RIGHT STABS and i put them the opposite way, like dang, coolest shit ever, pretty fun experience it is such a good stabilizer too, smooth and sounds fantastic.(kinda)
Even if you align them properly, it’s still tricky to get the wire in smoothly, right? Haha. But honestly, I was really surprised that lubrication alone was enough.
Typeplus stabilizers have been very well received in Korea. Its only problem is that it is difficult to buy spare wires😥 I think GEON says they'll be selling spare wires soon, but I'm not sure.
great video as always! i am back in the hobby and stuck to TX because they have been nice for me. looks like typeplus stabs are better. i will definitely give them a try! ありがとう!
I haven't heard much about its reputation, and it doesn't seem to have any new mechanisms, so I haven't used it. How was your experience with it? Did you find it good?
@@KeebTaro my experience with it is that it is on the tighter side, wires barely needed rebalancing. Like a solid performer. Very interested in Typeplus Yikb though!
This is not the stabilizer itself. This is the keycap and the switch together. All work together. Bad pressing is affected by everything. And the switch, and the keycap and the stabilizer. Both separately and all together. If there is a problem. Then you need to change the keycap and the switch. And then think about the stabilizer. You can get a tight pressing on the TX AP too.
FYI I bought this TX Stab Tester from Divinikey and everyone who bought it was refunded as they were deemed defective due to incorrect tolerances in the manf. The new versions I see being sold have a different layout, so I believe you have a bad Stab Tester base. The spacing was not quite right for some of the stabs, I just don't recall which was brought up.
Thank you for the information! Where exactly was the issue with the tolerance? 6.25U? I purchased mine from Taobao, so I’m not sure if it has the same issue as the ones from Divinikey. Even if I used the correct ones, I doubt the comparison results would change. The results and my impression from actually using them on the keyboard are the same.
I measured mine, which I bought on Taobao, with calipers, and the switch holder was positioned symmetrically. That was a relief. Thanks for the extra information!
@@v_1922 Just like usual, I only lubricated the wire, stem, and housing. As mentioned in the video, I haven’t done any adjustments like balancing the wire. Adjustments would make it impossible to compare the stabs in their raw state.
@@KeebTaro Hey I was going to ask the same question, but I would like to add something. I see many people literally dipping their wires in lube, but this one is quite different in shape, did you also apply a lot of lube or just a small layer?
@@filcrinzi th-cam.com/video/Zkds7JwrAis/w-d-xo.html The amount of lubrication is about the same as in this video. However any industrial product will have some variation in manufacturing precision, so it's important to adjust the product you receive to match its condition and your preferences.
Since the introduction of TX, I haven't used Staebies. Even though they’re tight, it's difficult to eliminate the noise. I had been hoping for improvements, but Typeplus appeared before that could happen.
Based on the fact that it's manufactured by JWICK and the wire support design, it's likely that the Durock V3 serves as the base. Additionally, from the product photos, the tolerance between the stem and housing seems large, which suggests that the wobble might be significant.

New fancy stabs are cute but I always end up going back to old faithful Cherry clip-ins with C3 wires.

I feel this so much lol. just finished a build with cherry+C3 and they ended up being perfect first try.
for me cherry clips-in wires are hard to tune and even i swap the wire not get the consistent result
Great video as always! You should check out the Paigu stabs as well, you can also find them as Maizu or WS Stupid stabs
Thanks. I’ve used WS3.1 with the Luminkey65, but there was nothing particularly noteworthy about it.

スタビも進化しているんですね。
次に組むならTypeplus x YiKBにしてみようかな
正直驚きました。進化は間違いなく感じられますので、ぜひお試しを。
durocks being absolute shit still confirmed to date. I wonder how much certain creators are paid to still recommend them lol.
I bought it hoping for improvements with the new V3 mechanism, but...

Type plus はPcb にシールとか貼らなくても問題ないのなら試してみたくなりますね。KBDの動画だと張っていましたが、シール貼ると音が抑制されて良い音が出ないので気になります
