I spent almost an hour in the first level, found almost all secrets by myself. Great game, thanks for covering it! There are actually shark warning signs all along the pier :D I oneshot all sharks with harpoon and swam freely. There's a side objective at the bottom. And I pressed that remote button using nail gun because I did not figure out you can throw staplers.
You actually get to hear about the shark problem in chapter 1 already--- if you stop to listen to the radio programme. Even the harpoon to kill 'em doesn't just rot around. It has a document with a bit of lore behind. And even the skyboxes / level background visuals are hinting at something larger. E.g. mostly you see the big city hall looming large in the background. But in Chapter 4, where you're going outskirts, it's small and far away. This is similar to Dishonored 2, where you always get to see where you are in the city by having your ship and the bay always in sight somewhere. This is all surprisingly consistent. Makes it feel like world, rather than a collection of maps to wreak havoc in (or well, ghost levels, as I've done on a replay with a bunch of 'em). I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Mitten, the missing kitty, either.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with the game and the atmosphere is amazing. Could definitely use some higher difficulty options, though. Just higher damage from enemies would go a long way, though hopefully some better AI for stealthing will come eventually.
its wild to see how in just 4 months so many of these levels have already been massively overhauled and improved, like level 3 is almost unrecognizable from the footage versus its current improved state. Like the presence of the elevated track, the bar upstairs office, sewers, and generally expanded verticality with the new rooftop, and expanded sewers...
Thanks for adding timestamps to your videos. I know I can't be the only one here who skips straight past the "presentation" and heads right for the gameplay sections. I've been checking out several of the videos of your channel and, next to your conciseness and digestibility, it helps a *lot*. From your channel, alone, I've decided to give several of the games you've listed a chance when I wouldn't have otherwise. You're doing good work. Keep it up.
Probably run through at least 3 times. I love this game. Depending on its 1.0 this could be a contender for the best New Blood game. My favorite remains Amid Evil for now. Faith is up there too.
@@HintOfBlues Faith is incredible. I’ve literally played it twice since Fallen Aces has come out haha easy one to chip away at on my steam deck while I’m waiting for my son to fall asleep.
6:24 - I'm already going to say I enjoyed this approach to the format Kirk! :D excited to see how this develops - personally also struggled with this kind of thing, what is a review of an EA vs a full 1.0 game etc. very interesting conversation on this, and I like your answers on display in your work.
I'm loving this game so far. I'm unfortunately at an age where I feel like I can't tolerate the huge 100+ hour open world AAA stuff anymore, so something like Fallen Aces that's an absolute blast for just a few hours (so far) felt like such a breath of fresh air. I'll definitely be replaying a couple times before the next episode releases - hopefully they add achievements soon.
Probably the hardest thing is to finish this game as a pacifist, and compared to doom pacifist runs, you can still use blunt melee weapons to defeat enemies, they're not dead, just taking a little nap
Terrible combat and barley able to call it an imsim. Idk cool art i guess but i think new blood has their hands in peoples pockets. No where near what the hype is.

I'm playing Eastshade, shooting mechanics are second to none. I mean there are none.
This game is basically a love child of Condemned: Criminal Origins and Thief that was raised by XIII.
Yeah! That's an astute read.
With Thief as their uncle.
And with Action Doom 2 as the older, inspiring brother
@@thesidneychan Uncle Thief has a nice ring to it.
Pretty much

Signs!? I have no time to read signs! 😆
@@KIRKCOLLECTSyeah, who'd read signs and notes in an immsim, amirite? ;)
@@SimplexPL There's too much emergent gameplay to be bothered by such things!

Agreed.
Ngl really happy to see a spiritual successor to Action Doom.

I'm really partial to the multimedia rom/motion comic style of comic page presentation for cutscenes. Going to grab this.

i love this games art style. cant wait for the level editor to come out so i can play more

I played this like 8 times
Amid evil is pretty good
Faith is fire tho

I liked the early access cover of the topic.
I was waiting for your review of this one. Definitely gonna pick it up, Thanks Kirk. 👍

I have played the demo of this video game. Very fun
ive beaten 4 times and keep loving replaying it
Really was excited for this one! :D
This video is prov gonna blow up
Where's my gabagool?

you deserve so many more subs
I actually like the limited inventory. It saves time from having to navigate a large inventory.
IMO it should be 4. 3 is really limiting, especially since meele weapons break
I was just considering watching Office Space the moment you mentioned the red stapler...freaky
Been loving the channel man these are very enjoyable videos
Well, they just added an update that made the hard difficulty harder and added custom difficulty on top of that, which is pretty cool.
When New Blood delivers a game, I always am sure they'll make something interesting. And so they did it again.
Dishonored: The Knife Of Mobster City. (If ya're playing it the right way, that is). :-P

Health and other items need to be separate slots etc…
Fine with weapons and ammo being in x3 slots but nothing else should be.
That's unfortunate this game runs like shite on my laptop. I'll save this for later when I get a new PC.
Could you plz review the new dlc for the new bolt gun dlc
I’ll try! I have another vid in the pipeline I need to get done. I have played the first couple levels tho and so far it’s a lot of fun.
Thanks your one of my favorite TH-camrs
Thank you! That's really kind of you to say.

the combat is actually one of my favorite parts besides the art style. what did you dislike about it?
So you played a different game then? :D
