I've dealt with plastic for over 30 years as an industrial designer. PLA still contains virgin polymer, it's not 100% safe to breathe in on a regular basis, especially for kids. I would move the setup to the garage and vent it out.
Pure PLA is made from corn kernels, but it's hard to use in 3d printing. So, filament manufacturers add additives to it to achieve desired stability and appearance. One of the additives is virgin polymer, which is a petrochemical plastic. Google PLA toxicity.
I would like to suggest attaching these foam rubber strips to the sides of the panels where they meet. Of course, the panels will then have to be cut a little shorter.
I like the suggestion! I do need to cut them shorter anyways because they are tight to each other right now and it defeats the purpose. I might try your suggestion as well
Great setup! I got the MDF+foam weather stripping idea from Travis as well. It works great and far easier to manage than the paver method. Great idea with all the QR codes, implementing that in my mini farm for sure!
Wish I Could Get To This Point. I've Got The Space And A Decent Printer Already To Start. Just Haven't Found A Product People Want. Tried Everything From Fidget Toys, Planters, Articulated Creatures, Storage Solutions For Things Like Batterries Etc... No Joy Yet. Not Even A Single Order.
great video dude! I got my P1S in november and im loving it! I would love to do some stuff to sell but i don't even know where to sell or how... Do you have like a guide or did you followed any guide to start the farm? Really would love to hear how did you start! Keep it up!
Got any video of that rack with all the printers going? Just bought the same rack and I wanted to see what the shake was like. My main concern is I want to put a Resin printer on the bottom shelf, and a 2 Bambu X1C on the mid shelf. Curious if the Vibration from the X1C would cause any issue to the Resin Vat
do you think it makes a difference in cutting the wood into 3 individual sheets per shelf? do you think that does eliminate one printer shaking the other printer? i plan on doing 3 A1 combos on one shelf and 3 p1p/p1s on the other shelf. lmk and thanks!
Thanks for the video. How much money do you earn with your 3d printer farm? I am about to start a 3d printer farm as well. And you have a nice setup by the way.
I have 5 Qidi printers all the same, for some reason 3 of them are printing parts .50 larger, I've checked the extruders and all are the same, exact same file and filament. I have 83 parts and most of them need to fit together like a dovetail joint but that has become a problem, the company wants me to slice each part for each machine and calibrate each machine in the xy, I started doing that and made it through 7 pieces and thought what is going to happen if I have 30 machines down the road? Can anyone help, or should I look at other printers?
Are any of the belts loose or something, very strange error… I don’t know that machine at all. All I can say is that going from and Ender to a Bambu has been night and day difference! I’d definitely recommend a Bambu if you’re looking to switch.
"I accidently started a print farm". Haha. I'm trying to avoid that at the moment. lol. You have a nice setup there. Like the use of QR codes to order supplies and keep maintenance records. Don't think Travis does that. You got one up on him in that department. Thanks for showing your print farm beginnings (you know you'll add more 😁).
Trying to avoid it? Hah go for it man! Or send your customers my way 😂🤣 I appreciate it! Yea I had to do something at least a little bit different than Travis - his videos have been so helpful for setting this up! I hope to expand yet this year 😃

What does virgin polymer mean? From my understanding virgin is beads of plastic never used before. How's that more toxic than non virgin?

Hey man, how you doing? With all respect, could you tell me if you have suffered any consequences from that prolonged exposure to plastic?
Can you please talk more about your maintenance log system specially the use of QR Codes labels??? Pretty please 🥺

Cool stuff. Travis does have some good ideas!
For sure - I’ve learned a ton from him!

Wow, that's great what you've done and the cool system you have created. I would recommend some air quality stuff I just vent my fumes outside.
I appreciate it!
Ventilation is next on my list for sure!
use un extractor de humos.

Whats the cutting Measurements for the MDF to fit so perfectly like yours? 2:03
You should do a video on how to set up those QR codes.
Great video! Are you able to recored smth about maintenance? :)
Thanks! Yup, I have that video on my list, hopefully making that soon!
Where did you get shelfs from?
What type of measurements for the MDF did you use for the rack you chose?
Each panel was roughly 22” deep by 23.75” wide
Very nice setup! What 3D product do you sell and how do you find customers? Thank you
Did you ever made any video on UPS for 3d printer?
Very Cool! But you should make sure that your printers are ventilated
What are those blue tape on the printers ?
Where do you sell your prints ?
Thank you for the video 😉

loved the video, thinking of starting a print farm myself. What platforms do you use to sell your products?
Thanks! I sell on TikTok shop and Etsy primarily
Great video, so you use only PLA filament or do you use other kinds?

QR codes are an under rated tool! I tried gettting my company to use them years ago, but they shot it down.
Seriously! I’m going to be using them in a lot more of my projects when it makes sense!
What is the plate-forme do you sell your products ?
Etsy, TikTok shop, and gumroad
Hey! Curious which bambu poop chute do you use? I've tried a few but it's tricky with the space I have.
Thanks!
good job!
Thank you!! 😃
Great video. Dig it
Thanks!
Who is the guy you mentioned learning a bunch of these tips from?
What do you sell? I couldn't figure out what you were printing
They're jigs for the Kreg Jig Mini - basically they speed up the process of creating pocket holes in wood 😃
Thanks for the video. How much money do you earn with your 3d printer farm? I am about to start a 3d printer farm as well. And you have a nice setup by the way.
interesting, dude! Keep grinding..
Good job....subbed!

How many printers does it take to make a “Print Farm”? Let me know!
1
1
At least ten, otherwise it’s a Print Garden.
Why does every American with a print farm have the same racking system?
3 printers
Well I’m good then!

Expanding, huh? See, I told you! 😁@@DoingWhatever
Hopefully! 😃
