Dehydrated is the next step in our family’s health journey. Especially since in California everything is just so expensive. It will be a huge savings for us to preserve our bounty year round
I really liked the comparison, and what to look for in a dehydrator. I had an Excaliber 5 tray, but my scale modeller husband stunk it up curing paint and glue work in it, so I turned it over to him and got the 9 tray one, but it is so big! The L'equip looks much more counter friendly! Thank you so much for this!
So glad I found your account recently! After Helene I'm learning so much about the importance of learning to prepare your own food for longer term storage and being prepared! I would so be blessed by this! Thank you 🥰
I found your page a few months ago and have been so excited to learn about dehydrating!!! Thank you for showing us that there are other ways besides canning!
Looking forward to getting a dehydrator one day! I’ve been trying to find healthy alternatives for my family and have discovered making food at home is the easiest way to do that, but storage space is definitely limited! Dehydrating food would be such a great start for us!
Hi MIchelle, 1st thing, I am so happy to see you spell your name correctly, LOL My sister and I follow quite a few homesteaders/homemakers on youtube and usually start our day off watching one and sharing what we learn with each other. She just introduced me to your channel and I am so happy she did! I look forward to learning a lot from you and what a bonus that I am able to get in on the dehydrator give away too! Thanks for the generosity!
How sweet to share a dehydrater with someone! I have an extremely old one that the plastic trays and screens are breaking as I used it so much! Would love to have a new one before this goes kaput!
I have made a few things in my dehydrator. It is a cheap one and doesn’t have clear instructions and takes forever to dry and takes up a lot of space. Yours look much better.
I have been interested in other ways of preservation for a while. Just trying to save my money and make the beat decision of what dehydrator to buy. I seriously can’t wait to get one!
As a new grammie I will be spending this first year learning healthy recipes and copycat recipes children love. A dehydrator would be great tool to use in establishing healthy eating from the start.
Thank you for the great tutorial on dehydrators. I have used my low-priced round ones for decades. The changing of the trays is definitely a down-side for the round ones. For the cost, I make do.
I’m new to steam canning (much easier than water bath canning, btw), and I’m also new to dehydrating, and I love it. I’ve already dehydrated fruits and also several vegetables. Since I really loved the outcome of dehydrated sliced tomatoes and onions, I know I’m ready to try to start making veggie powders, and I will want a second dehydrator to complement my Corsair unit. I just found you, and I’m glad I did. Keep the videos coming!💜
I'm so glad I found your channel - I have tried to keep a stocked pantry for many years, but have recently started really focusing on building a shelf stable stockpile. I would love to add dehydrated food to my repertoire.
I have an inexpensive dehydrator, and have used it to make apple slices. Yum! But I see there is so much more I can do. Thank you for your inspiration.
Thank you for talking about the different dehydrators you went through. I’ve been wanting one and didn’t know which to get. I even thought about using one that is for air fryer. I also didn’t know you lose all that nutrients with canning! Even more excited to start dehydrating!! So glad I found you! Thank you!
Super interested in trying this: so much of our harvest this year went to the chicken yard because we didn’t have enough jars for canning! I love the idea of it being space saving!
I am new to gardening and canning. Dehydrating is another area I would love to try and learn. Thanks for the information and your willingness to share.
I have dehydrated herbs and a few other things in my oven and while that works, it would be so nice to have a designated dehydrator- it’s on my list for sure!
This would be amazing to win! I have a large garden and while I have canned and frozen so much, dehydrating would be another amazing way to utilize more of the vegetables (ex, dehydrating my tomato skins and turning into tomato powder) instead of throwing them away. Good luck to everyone!
I got excited when you covered the nutrient retention in dehydrating. I was wondering about that. My mom had a really great dehydrator, I don't know what happened with it when she passed away. And I can not remember what brand it was either. Glad I found you. I have so much work to do to get going with food preservation. It is my goal.
I am so excited to start my journey in dehydrating! Your spaghetti sauce powder is what convinced me! I'd also like to do organ meats! Thank you so much for your detailed comparison of these two machines!
I feel your pain!! I tried my hand at dehydrating numerous times over the past 2 decades before I figured out the right tips and tricks (and dehydrators!) that i needed to know
I am so excited about this! My daughter mentioned wanting a dehydrater while she was living in Alaska. That made me start contemplating preserving food that way. ❤ would love to try this!!
You recently inspired me to dehydrate my harvest this summer. I tried several veggies to use in ramen bowls this winter. My dehydrator has broken trays and I would love a newer model
@@MichelleVisser From everything I have read...it seems like you keep even more nutrients in the food if you freeze dry. But I've seen a lot of people who have both a dehydrator and a freeze dryer because they like certain things done one way or the other. I find it so interesting!
Dehydrated is the next step in our family’s health journey. Especially since in California everything is just so expensive. It will be a huge savings for us to preserve our bounty year round
Thank you for breaking down your two favorite dehydrators.
I have been wanting to get a dehydrator for years. I love your TH-cam channel and find your content so informative.
Appreciate you. Thank you.
so glad you're here!
I’d love a dehydrator. We’ve been saving and can’t wait to it to help our family’s health and budget!
Yes I’d like to dehydrate to preserve food in a minimalist way that preserves nutrients and is an efficient way that requires minimal effort.
I really liked the comparison, and what to look for in a dehydrator. I’m excited to learn about dehydrating as a way to preserve! Thank you for this!
There are so many things you can do with a dehydrator, just wish I had one! Thanks for sharing 😊
Have been wanting a dehydrator for years. Thank you for the information.
Michelle, thank you so much for such a clear comparison. I am just starting to learn about dehydrating and appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
I really need a dehydrator. I’ve been interested in one for a long time. Thank you for your videos, they mean so much to all of us.
awww, what a sweet thing to say 🥰
I had a cheap dehydrator at one time. I really enjoyed dehydrating things in it. Would love to start dehydrating again!😊
I love your comparison of the dehydrators. Very informative. Thank you!
Thank you for the chance to win a dehydrator! I would love to dehydrate tons of fruit- I LOVE dried fruit!!
I found your page a few months ago and have been so excited to learn about dehydrating!!! Thank you for showing us that there are other ways besides canning!
I'm so glad you're here (and so glad there are other ways than canning! :) )
So much to learn when deciding on a dehydrator. Thank you for all your good points!!

I’m excited to learn more about dehydrating my own food!

Excited to learn about dehydrated foods and all their uses
I have made a few things in my dehydrator. It is a cheap one and doesn’t have clear instructions and takes forever to dry and takes up a lot of space. Yours look much better.
I would love to be able to start dehydrating different foods for my family.
I neeeeeeed!!! The neighbors elderberries are hanging into our yard, tempting me - but I need a dehydrator 🤞🏻
dehydrating saves money and fights inflation. 🤑 Great and thorough video. 😊
100%
I have been interested in other ways of preservation for a while. Just trying to save my money and make the beat decision of what dehydrator to buy. I seriously can’t wait to get one!
Thank you for doing a give away! We have been trying to improve my children's health with our food and herbs. This would be wonderful!

Thank you for making this! It's hard to decide with all the different models and features

A dehydrator and food mill are definitely on my Christmas list!
Mine too!
I'm so glad I found your channel - I have tried to keep a stocked pantry for many years, but have recently started really focusing on building a shelf stable stockpile. I would love to add dehydrated food to my repertoire.
I would love to be able to dehydrate more foods. It’s really hard to pick the perfect dehydrator. Thanks for the info!

I would love to have a dehydrator. Thank you for this opportunity!
Thank you so much for sharing! Just starting my dehydrating journey
I have been looking into dehydrators. Grateful for this information and opportunity 🙏🏼
I have been interested in dehydrating for awhile..just made sin dried tomatoes this year. They are a flavor bomb. 👍
Love this! We have a small dehydrator and have done a few things but I’m excited to learn more about dehydrating!
I’ve been looking to upgrade my dehydrator! Thank you so much for the information that helps me make a more informed decision.
My daughter started saving for a freeze dryer for me but I need a dehydrator to harvest and save from my garden!

I never thought about dehydrating and powdering kale!! I just planted some so I can do this 😊
yay!!! Kale chips are pretty good too, and I keep some plain kale leaves to add to soup all winter long.
Thank you for all you do! I am excited for the chance to win a dehydrater!

Who new dehydrating would be a great tool!
Thank you, Michelle, for your invaluable information. You are definitely an inspiration as I progress further on my health journey.

Looking for an alternative way to preserve food. Exciting!
You have got me dehydrating alot more.

Can’t wait to see what your favorite is and tips! Always helpful and educational!
glad you're here (and good luck!)
I am lost when it comes to dehydrating food! I would love to learn more.
you might love the introductory price on this right now! (code TH-cam saves even more :) )

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. I grew a garden this year for the first time and have not dehydrated yet.
so exciting!!! how did your garden do? what was your favorite thing you grew?
@@MichelleVisser carrots were probably the most exciting, since you don't have any idea what you're going to get until you harvest. 🙂
I have a round dehydrator that needs trays switched. Thanks for sharing your opinion on these 2 dehydrators.
I would love to see how you do your tomatoes. Thanks for all the information you share
I will definitely share my process in an upcoming video :)
Thanks for the comparison. You just made my choice easier!
yay! Which one is most appealing to you?
@@MichelleVisser the Tribest!
Both would be great! Probably the Tribest will save up for that one. Such Great info thank you!
I love dehydrating, I'm still just getting started I like to do doggy treats for my puppy and my extra fruit and herbs so they don't go bad.
Love the honesty of this review… thanks so much for making this video! It’s really helpful!!
ain't no reason to do something like this without transparency, right? :)
Was lucky to get a small dehydrator at Goodwill but it doesn't work all that well. Glad to see this as I will be getting a new one
I would love to learn how you dehydrate tomatoes and then make them into sauce. Thank you ❤
I have been learning about dehydrating for months now. I am a avid canner but would love to do some dehydrating as well.
I love your videos. Yes I want to learn more about dehydrating. Can't wait to see more videos. ❤
Great info! I would prefer the stainless steel, as well, and I love the compact size. Hmmmm... Tx, Michelle!
I would love a dehydrator
Dehydrating definitely seems like something I need to add to my list! Thanks for sharing your knowledge & the chance to get my hands on one!
good luck! (and glad you're here!)

I love listening to your videos. You're so full of great knowledge! Thanks for sharing.

Been disappointed by past experiences also but longing to try again Thank you for your helpful review and information
