Your absolute devotedness to leveling up Cryptogolist at the expense of all other spells is both admirable and confusing. I wonder what you're hoping to draw if not your level up creatures.
Hoping to draw more Cryptologists, so I can level them up and draw more cards. Maybe I should have included one Lab Maniac for the Cryptologist mill win :)

At 50:18 there is like one frame that shows the triggered ability of detention sphere and it's called detention sphere but it shows the art for Ulamog, the ceaseless hunger
problem with proliferate and level up is that proliferate only helps after the first level up. so the deck already needs to be somewhat in gear for them to help. and time of heroes already has that clause. add more cards that only do anything after we've started putting counters and the deck gets even clunkier.
when lvl up first came out i had a grixis lvl up deck. with the minatour of shatterskull pass, removal, nirkana cuthroat, null champion, grull draz assassin, and venerated teacher. loved it so much
I had been wondering why there weren't more Training Grounds, but I forgot it couldn't reduce below {1}. I thought it was a powerful combo with Caravan Escort and Transcendent Master.
This seems really fun. I would try to replace some of the weaker cards maybe. Caravan Escort, Venerated Teacher & Training Grounds seem a bit underwhelming here - only Time of Heroes is really a worthwhile payoff card. I would maybe add some cheap counters and some Dive Down style effects (... like Dive Down ... or “make indestructible”). Maybe cut one Mystic Gate for a second Chasm. idk
Asceticism and/or Heroic Intervention would have been nice additions for a splash color. Even a few Gods Willing would have been nice. Haven't watched it yet, but I'm predicting a lot of blow outs due to removal.
I would love to see an against the odds Deck with "Leyline of Singularity". To bad it doesn't have that many interaction with "historic"-Keyword. But Minamo could be a clue to get some nice synergies or Yomiji, Who Bars the Way to get random permanents back.
Proliferate? Idyllic Tutor? Also, all of these levelers are humans, so maybe that means we could play something like Thalia Lieutenant. Edit: Except for the cryptologist.
This deck should run Coralhelm Commander. It's a more efficient beater than most of the draft chaff commons in this deck, even without a merfolk synergy.
Seems like you should have double blocked the glistner elf in the second infect game, could have still looted, i dont know if it would have changed the outcome but isnt that the safest play?
during the infect game, why didn't you go turn 1 training grounds, turn 2 hada spy, turn three unblock 3/3 with shroud. You got greedy for cards and it backfired on you
Against infect you should try to path to exile on your turn so that way if they use a pump spell to protect the creature it doesn’t get in for more damage
u needed some green for protection, like this would have been one of the decks where hedging ur bets with things like blossoming defences (or even 4 dispels in the sideboard) would have been a great idea just because of the nature of the cards - you can always leave a bit of mana up. I mean it might have made the deck a bit sketchy but ur deck was struggling without it.

one thing while you were against infect, forget the man lands because you can't do this but whenever!!! i'll repeat that whenever!!! you kill they're creatures do it during your turn, if they're wasting vines and blossoming defense during your turn it's not pumping it during their turn to kill you! just because the spells are instant doesn't mean you have to cast them at instant speed you can still cast them at sorcery speed.
studant of warfare so absurd, early game ok, late game a bomb, i hope that now with the knights of dominaria, a tribal knights mono W or BW will show up in modern^^

at 50:19 you detection sphere is getting in the battlefield...and its flickers, for a second there it shows Ulamog.

Was anyone else expecting proliferate? Admittedly I honestly didn't look up specific cards that boost counter accumulation.
Face Octopus tezzeret's gambit is a strong proliferate and draw card idk if it is modern legal though

My best guess is that the power floor is lower for proliferate cards.
Every proliferate card is modern legal except for Atraxa and Everythingamajig (a)

I think would have been much better as a tempo deck with just the best creatures as threats. Or even control, just not aggro
what I learned from this is that it might be worth it to put some level up creatures to be early/late game creatures
I think that there are some benefits to playing a couple level up creatures, but playing them all together is rough, so much mana...

Leifson Thewind you can't leave mana up and do it at OPs end step as the ability is sorcery.
dumping all your mana into your minions will always be risky - in the video seth is constantly leaving up mana for counterspells/path
