it was designed in the 1950's by Wellesley Tudor Pole the well waters itself is very old but not possible to date - The Joseph story has circumstance but not proved as he was a merchant tin trader and would have come to Glastonbury to rest on travelling towards the Mendips - The Blood and sweat of Christ carried in Cruits maybe symbolic as the iron water (red) of the Chalice would taste a bit like blood and the White Spring (calcite) would be the "sweat" - The story is at least 1,000 years old by manuscripts and documents but not known where it originated from ..highly likely the Benedictine monks were always looking for ways to finance the Abbey - Relics of Abbotts and Kings were worthy as was hosting Kings of the day ....a bit like the way the Vatican and its millions are taken from the poor to lavish themselves for future generations ....unfortunately The Abbey met its demise in the 16th Century due to Henry the 8th creating his own church of England to stop the taxes going to Rome. Chalice Well is an amazing peaceful place for contemplation and the silent minute we hear respected around the world - gave birth here at the Chalice - so it bears great significance ..The Vesica Pisces is the symbol of the Well -The beginning of life - made manifest - The Miracle that we all are :)

Na studni je MŘÍŽ?? Holy shit! To se musí král Artur nad Angličany v hrobě obracet a chytat za hlavu
