  • Somewhere afloat in the Caribbean, PG’s John Bohlinger hung with blues rocker Jared James Nichols before his final show of the 2020 ‪@JoeBonamassaTV‬'s Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea cruise. Nichols played some fierce guitar and lead Premier Guitar-and a live audience-through his signature rig with pieces from ‪@OfficialEpiphone‬ and ‪@Blackstaramps‬.

Jared James Nichols is quite possibly (if he puts in hard work) the person who could save rock and roll. he's playing very very much reminds me of Paul Kossoff from Free.(he's got killer chops and great tone, and in a time of Djent, auto-tuning everything, overproduction and sound quality on most of the records that are released? he is definitely a breath of fresh air with his blues-based Rockthat so many people are afraid the play because they think other guitar players are going to think they suck(reason being there not shredding arpeggios up and down the fretboard) Jared James gets it,he understands what the blues is ALL ABOUT it's about getting out there and speaking your voice through your instrument.hats off to this man I want one of these signature models by the way.

Think about lines of racks, 72772 amps, with 727262 channels each midi here, midi there... 372882 pedals..... trouble making machines for technicians to "tech on". There are even "guitar rig designers". Geez.. why would you left the best part for someone else? Love this guy personality, technique and myth busting way of play. Great tone for sure, but the 'turn towards the amp and get the feedback happening', just ain't the same with a small amp on the floor. Doesn't matter the wattage, but it's the show. I'd rather see him with at least a half-stack, especially given his style and look.
