The weird moment when personal means that his new epiphone signature sounds better than the Paul Kossoff les paul. For me the Paul Kossoff sounds like absolute mud. I wanted to say shit but tried to be polite. So I am not. Fuck that one lol, his single p90 epiphone sounds just...better. The single p90 jr also sounds better for vintage mellow.

I’m not even half way through yet - what an enjoyable rig rundown. Jared’s child-like enthusiasm and sheer love for the guitar is just a joy. I’m smiling through this whole rundown. Awesome 👌

I’ve learned so much from watching Jared’s playing style - I too am a lefty playing a right handed guitar and have had some challenges using a pick - This guy is a wealth of information and talent.

I saw Paul's comment and decided to reply instead of making my own. I'm not a hard rock guy anymore, but love Jared James - his playing is so different. I almost got an Epiphone Old Glory, but opted for a 1955 reissue instead, since I was born that year, and it has the large rounded neck I like, plus I'm more of a neck pickup guy - and I have a Lollar "staple" pickup, similar to what the original used for more clarity (Les Paul used a Gretch dynasonic until Seth Lover made the staple pickup for him). Jared James is a fun guy with an infectious attitude!

Jared you are correct 1958 was the release of the hard edge double cut juniors and specials and there was a hand full made single cut up until the switch to the SG body shape and during that time when sg was still called the Les Paul they made a batch of original double cut specials in cherry and in the 1961 ledger those guitars which where double cut bodies laying around were mark as “SG” and that’s the strange history of how the original les Paul double cut gave the SG its name

To anyone wondering: Jared shortened the story in this interview. The guy who found the guitar looked for the original owner for two years, eventually finding his daughter who said he was deceased and just encouraged the guy to just hang it on his wall. Only after that the guy texted Jared. Source: th-cam.com/video/zdrv8qhZWoY/w-d-xo.html

Who the hell steels gear from musicians. There is no bottom to how low humans can sink. Same thing happened to Guthrie govens wahrockerpedal. "Some roman stole it" he sad. To make profit for the thief out of it is one thing but to also lessen the joy and positivity musicians spread too is an other. I sometimes wonder how people can become so fucked up with no sense for morality or the ability to think past them selves. I mean how do you create an environment to shape some one in to a person like that.
