@@MalevolentCherry I don’t think you could turn chunks of a planet into actual warships but turning them into mobile fortresses or smaller space/battle stations is definitely an option. And it would be metal for Cadia to just start reclaiming itself, making its own versions of Ork Roks. Also I think it would be funny if they turn smaller chunks into asteroid missiles. In case any big targets like Blackstone Fortresses or Glorianna Battleships pass by.

I wonder if a Cadian somewhere out there had a potted plant which grew on Cadian dirt and decided to bring it along for the return trip just to replant it here, even if the plant may no longer grow in that environment, just for the gesture of putting the Cadian ground back where it belongs, one piece at time.
A storyline about mechanicus putting the planet's pieces back together could be interesting .Some necron subplots and vashtor mastermind reveal would be cool.
Looks like it might be an adaptation of Creed: Ashes of Cadia, which is a pretty good book and really characterizes the new Lord Castellan and made me genuinely like her.

Let go, the battlefield change from planetside to coutless asteroids will be so intersting. Two sides will have some main base at the largest pieces of asteroids and coutless outpost expanding outward. The battle turn from all out assault to using the debris as cover to ambush and counter ambush each other; mine field, bobby traps, automate turet every where ... basicaly guerilla warfare but in space.

Nah, there aren't many REAL Cadians left. We just joined with the other two regiments in absorbing EVERYONE else.
Cadians are actually quite rare, there's only a few million of them. They are almost as rare as space marines at this point.
