I always wondered how they cooked the vegetables and it still stays crunchy. So they blanch it and pour the sauce on it. Thanks for the behind the scenes look. I really do enjoy chinese style mixed rice.
I love asian food. They're so quick and delicious. Unlike western food you don't need spend 4 hours just to make 4-5 dishes. And you don't need processed food. All from scratch.
Brings back fond memories, go to place for almost every Taylor's College Student for lunch and dinner back in the days. Good quantity, delicious and reasonable price. How times have changed, we called it cheap when it was RM5-6.5 per plate, one meat two small veg. Looks like inflation hit hard since 2013. Really sympathise the cost of living now.
I❤ it. I always go to Mixed rice stall. My favorite is soy pork, etc plus free soup of the day & Chinese tea. Yum yum. Malaysian mixed rice it's the best. We have a lot's of variation from each races living in Malaysia.
This kind of foods are very popular in Malaysia and Singapore, Hong Kong too now start selling this. Not just chinese food, we also got malay and Indian restaurant selling this. All with their very own unique flavour.
Although we are different in terms of race, we have same standard of certain cuisine like ikan goreng ( fried fish), mee goreng ( fried noodles),sambal belacan, stir fried vegetables.
This is what Malaysian is all about, different cultures intertwine and share each others food. There is chicken curry, there is soy tofu, there is sambal belacan, etc.
Yummy Chicken food also cheap. I used to stay in China and I can survive with 20 yuan for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks. I miss China God bless China 🙏♥️💯🇵🇭 love from the Philippines 🙏
Over 10 years ago old subang S15 wet market famous for chap fan. Now there’s this! Go to place for college students. Back then under RM10 for a meal and drink. Wow this much newer place still can offer so cheap!
as a malay that like chinses food.. it loook so good that i want to learn how to cook it.. because it so hard to find a cheep Muslim chines food.. because all place that i visit the food become extra price form normally sell at chinses shop.
@@jessl9727 no I've bought both and I find Chinese economy expensive most places be ready for belas2, maybe this place is cheaper but chinese food is good tho.
The speed depends on how we prepare the needed ingredients ahead of time. Secondly, depends on what cutting, slicing, blending, mixing equipment you're using to speed up everything. The High Pressure Stoves is a big advantage speaking of speed during the actual cooking. Cheers to one who invented the High Pressure Stove. This is really amazing!
From all the above comments.. it’s very heart warming to hear how grateful and appreciative of the good job done by the above people, keep up the good work guys ❤❤👍👍we all thank you for your hard work 🤗❤
amazing food they all look yummy, specially the vegetable look so fresh. went that kind of food stall in KL many years ago, but I forgot the name the place located in small street near big hotels the food was amazing good, randomly we found that place my kids love the food. the sweet sour pork was amazing they add the crackling and chip my tooth, but was worth it though. my kids even asked me to go back there for dinner.
Ya men, I literally walk around subang and thinking about creating Zhap Fan content, then Mr Rice Corner appeared. Prior to him, I got rejected at 3 zhap fan stall……..
While I personally think economy rice is fantastic as you have so much variety and is affordable. The condition of the kitchen wall at the far end 9:48 , the bottom half is basically black. Not exactly sure what is the cause (potentially mould) but it is a major health hazard. Especially with the raw vegetables stacked nearby on top of the large black plastic water tank.
In this video it's a indoor/outdoor Chinese food buffet, and I am very skeptical about some of these Chinese buffets, because some are very good, very good variety and some are very cheap, especially when it comes to the cold seafood like oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, and I shy away from the salad station, there desserts are OK, and when it comes to the hot food, I stay away from the starches, as I am looking for value, usually these places target people who know nothing about Chinese food, but I do, and I usually look for freshness, the colors and the variety of authentic Chinese vegetables, because I know where and what to look for, and probably the 1st thing I look for is the price, as I don't like foods displayed on the street, usually indoors, but the Chinese people are very picky when it comes to a situation like this ,but one thing that I have noticed is the jump in prices, as they know what the consumer is looking for. But this buffet looks very reasonable, even looking at there HOT TOFU DISH,and I also look at the types of sauces they make, plus the garnish.
Hmm..... woah u r the 1st to ask this question! I would like to know if anyone finds it.. Most Chinese mix rice offers pork dish, and it's one of the highlight too... 😋

Everything's fine untill they washed the cooked veggies in the big red basin 😂 and then poured sauces on it, I really thought they're going to cook it again.
The function is to maintain the crispiness, like wash the noodle in cold water after cooked or soak the seafood/ prawn in iced water after blanched. The same with vege here
To maintain crispiness. Like washing cooked noodle in cold water or soak cooked prawn/seafood in iced water to make the texture chewy. Because when such a load put together after cooked, the residue heat in food will continue cook the vege - food will turn soggy faster with the residue heat (heating process doesn't stop at once when removed from fire)

Just like any malay stalls selling cheap nasi campur dishes. Only 2 cooks who prep and cooks all the 40-50 dishes. Fast n furious in the kitchen. The rule is all ingredients are available if not will be modified
Wonder how they make profit as the customers probably heap a pile onto each scoop if the price goes by scoops. Hope the customers don’t take advantage of such generosity.
