After watching a couple of videos on the 13a process in the USA vs Philippines it's seems like an easier process in the Philippines. The two videos I watched made no mention of chest x-ray, urinalysis, stool/ovate, complete blood test etc that are required here in the USA.

Just had a bad experience with the immigration in Manila.
    1. The requirements on the official web site does not match the requirements in the office:
In addition you will need 2 copies of all your passporr pages.
You will also need a affidavit of Guarantee with Authenticity
Fill in a questionaire and have it authenticated by a notary.
A notary is behind the BDO and the charge is 550 PHP.
Your NBI clearance must have the civil status "Married" otherwise the application will be rejected.

    • @andikater
      @andikater 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2. You need to bring your Filipina wife as she will be also questioned about the marriage, your money and other things
As my NBI clearance did not show the "Married" status and as it takes 3 days to get a new one I gave up on the 13a.

Hello, i was curious to know where did you get the information fee ?? That cost only $150 dollars?? That is around 8K pesos here. We just apply for 13A visa here at BI Panglao, BOHOl and it cost us 30,000 dollars. Which is $610 dollars depending on the dollar value conversion. I dont understand why BI here in the Philippines charging so much. When we call Cebu they told only 11K peso. 30K peso here at BI, Panglao for non appearance at BI cebu.

I love it when you say "you need to show bank statements ,share certificate s etc" The reason is that that the Philippines don't want u to be a burden in them ...like there's social security .....NOT.. a person would never be a burden as there's no benefits..They only see what you are going to spend, that's all..

I have a dual citizenship and my husband is a foreign national. We both wanted to move to the Philippines for good. We will enter the Philippines together. I understand that a dual citizen can live in the Philippines indefinitely as a native Filipino. will my husband have the same privilege? If not, what is the maximum number of months for my husband to stay in the country. In cases he needs to leave the country after a year and come back, can he just possibly do that? If in case also he needs to get a visa to live in the country, what type of visa is it and where do we apply for it and the best time to apply. Thank you so much.

@Joy Ferris The first question is what is his nationality? If he is American or Canadian (E0408 country), he should be able to enter visa-free and stay for 30 days. He can then apply for 13A visa since he is married to you. He will be granted a one year temporary visa initially, and will become permanent visa subsequently. This 30-day visa-free stay in the Philippines will be extended while his a visa is being processed. You and your husband can apply with the Philippine immigration office.

Hello Sir, pasenya na po sa mahaba ko pong mga katanungan.. gusto lang po namin malaman ng foreign fiance ko at para may idea at maging updated na din po kami at makapag process na din po kami ng other documents step by step po. Itatanong ko lang po, he's planned to come home here in the Philippines by next year for us to get married and to spend time with my family and to settle everything together here.. my first question po is,
1.) Need pa po ba nya kumuha ng Visa from United States?
2.) How long to process po his Visa from United States?
3.) What type of Visa po do he need to get?
4.) Fully vaccinated po sya, how long do he need to quarantine? And if he also need to continue quarantine at home?
We plan din po after our marriage, we also planning to go with him together going back to the United States, since I already have passport valid for 10 years.
5.) Do I still need to get Visa for me?
6.) What type of Visa po do I need to get?
7.) How long to process po my Visa from here in the Philippines?
8.) Possible din po ba na makasabay na po ako sa kanya pabalik po ng United States, kahit wala po or Hindi po ako vaccinated? Hoping for your kind and consideration to answer all my questions po.

Am a bit confused.....I have just come in to the Philippines with my 13 Visa which last for 1 year. Does it mean that once I get my ARC (which they say will last for 5 years), the ARC is my permanent residency permit and that I dont have to worry about renewing my 13A visa when the one year is up.

    • @vloggergrandpa2707
      @vloggergrandpa2707  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Advance Release Calendar (ARC) for designated statistics of the Philippine Statistical System that gives the specific dates on when the various statistics will be released by government agencies for the benefit of the data users. I'm not familiar with the ARC permanent residency permit. I would plan to renew the 13A visa if I were you. Then ask them about the ARC permit.

Hey, I have a weird question! I've tried to find the answer with a google search, I cannot. The Question:
I know I can stay in the PH up to a year, being married to a Filipina. How long must I stay AWAY from the Philippines before I can return, after having stayed the full year?
Example: I'm married to a Pinay and spent a full year on Sibuyan Island, now I'm required to leave. I get a ticket to Malaysia, and spend a month there. Next I buy a ticket to Vietnam and spend a month there. I do the same in Thailand, Mexico, and so on. When can I return to the Philippines? After 2 months? 3 Months? A Year?
I can't seem to find the answer anywhere, Salamat Po.

I've read that it's a simpler process to obtain a 13A visa in the applicant's home country (the UK in my case) than in the Philippines. However, after dealing with the Philippines Embassy in London, I'm not so sure. They provide so little information and many of their website links are broken.

You may obtain a dual citizenship if qualified, and your husband can get a 13A visa which is for foreigner married to a Filipino. Meanwhile, he can apply for 9A visa in the Philippines while waiting for his 13A visa.

Currently, applicants for 13A visa are temporarily suspend as I understand it. Please see the attached link: londonpe.dfa.gov.ph/consular-matters/visa.
However, the following link says that he should present "evidence of sufficient financial capacity to live in the Philippines, such as, but not limited to, bank statement of accounts, CPF contributions, property deeds, certificates of stocks" www.philippine-embassy.org.sg/consular/visa/residence-visa-for-spouse-of-a-filipino-citizen/
However, it does not specify how much. So, just apply when it opens up after Covid19 and see how it goes. I guess it will be subjective.

After 5 years, he can apply for Philippine citizenship. However, if he does, he will lose his original citizenship (for example, in the US). If he does not want this to happen, his best bet is to continue with the 13A visa or get an SRRV visa. It's best that you discuss this with the Philippine Immigration Office to get first hand information.

We were told that we can be dual citizens because of being Filipinos (born and raised except for the kids). But i dont want to commit to being a dual citizen yet because of my US Job. but my wife and kids will. Now for my question, with my wife attaining dual citizenship. Kung magiisa siya sa September, baka abutan siya ng another travel restriction at hindi makapunta. Anyway, kung makapasok siya as Visa Free traveler for 30 days, or as balikbayan na kasama mo, doon na kayo mg file an application for 13A visa. Permanent visa iyon after the first year.

You can stay longer with a visa. Limiting the stay of foreigners is a good practice in any civilized nation. Same in other countries and the U.S. But with the appropriate visa, there is no reason you can't stay. This is the reason I'm against the so-called open borders. With open borders, there will not be a "controlled" immigration, and things will get out of control.

The capital gains tax that I know refers to tax on real estate sales. And it is not really tax on the gain. It's tax on the gross sales price of the property sold, just like sales tax or value added tax. I have no idea why they had to cal it "capital gains" tax when it is a tax on the gross. As of yet, I don't know how gains on sale of stocks are determined when you are trading or investing. I will know that in due time. 😀

No you can not. The moment you were naturalized as a US citizen, you have relinquished all your rights and privileges as a Philippine citizen, which includes the possession of a Philippine passport. As such, your Philippine passport is no longer valid. Now that you have reacquired your Philippine citizenship, you may now apply for a new Philippine passport. It's the same in Canada.

Again, in the Philippines, they allow you to regain your citizenship after losing it. And, US does not prohibit that. The difference is that US does not allow you to regain the citizenship that you lost.
