6 Nomadic Tiny Home Tours in 10 Minutes @ Tiny Fest San Diego 2022

- Welcome back to Trippin'! This week finds us in San Diego for Tiny Fest 2022!
After traversing the entire state of California, we've made it to our big stop before we go international. That's right! You heard it here first, we're taking our home to a new country and we couldn't be more thrilled! Stay tuned to the end for a HINT on where we're headed next!
But first, we planned our travels around TINY FEST in San Diego. Tiny Fest is a tiny home festival featuring all the latest tiny home builds. From fixed structures to prefabricated all the way down the line to nomadic self-built homes, such as skoolies, box trucks and van conversions.
We're utilizing this episode to show you 6 styles of nomadic living options, all in 10 minutes. If you missed Tiny Fest '22, here are some of our highlights:
First we have Codee & Sarah and their beautifully self-built Ram Promaster 2500 with a 159" wheelbase. The interior layout is light, bright and super functional. With 840 Watts of solar and 600 amp hours of battery bank, this is the largest power system we toured at Tiny Fest. More than enough to charge laptops, phones and even run a microwave! Second up we have Kristine & Brandon who are also rockin' a Ram Promaster 3500. Self-built and super functional, they designed their space for exactly what they need it for. Even a bedroom for their pup! 300 Watts of solar and a Goal Zero Yeti 3000X all-in-one power system. Plenty for power for anything you could need! Third we have fellow Portlander's Cydney & Kenny who took. 2001 Chevy Express 15-passenger van and converted it to their perfect home on wheels. Designed with their needs in mind, it took them only 10 months to built out. Equipped with a composting toilet and an espresso machine, what more could you want? With 300 watts of solar and 400 amp hours of Renogy agm batteries, is more than enough for their lifestyle, hobbies and careers. Fourth we have Jarrod's GMC Kodiak C5500 Ambulance with four wheel drive. Utilizing some of the built-ins that came with the ambulance, they have designed a beefy nomadic home which can get you to even the hardest of spots. Even has a standing shower and climate control. Fifth we have a truly spacious build from Nomad_Brad. Converting a U-Haul box truck into a tiny home has never looked so enticing. Bigger than all the vans on the market, this home has the feel of a small studio apartment. Packing 600 watts of solar, 400 amp hours of Renogy agm batteries and a 2000w pure sine inverter, this rig has enough power behind it to run your Instapot, electric kettle and 12v fridge and loads more! Fun fact: a front door was added by locking the stock roll-up door in place before cutting the hole out and framing in a door. Give Brad a follow for more information on this build @Nomad_Brad_503! Lastly, but not least, we wrap up our tours by touring one more Ram Promaster. This time we're taking you on a tour of a former fantastic Coachmen-built Ram Promaster 3500 extended that Jacques renovated for his cat and himself. Described as a home, art studio and anything else you could need it for, we can certainly see why. This gorgeous home has all the bells, whistles and charm one could ever need in a nomadic home! The Kodiak is a Chevy, while the GMC version is called the TopKick, as shown in the video. Also, Kristine & Brandon are correct when they said that their Ram ProMaster is a 3500, while in the description, you have it down as 2500.
