Thanks that was very helpful. This fire starter will be very nice in heavy winds and will bring me even closer to my outback stove.
You see, a woman loves her kitchen oven but a man loves his camping stove.

The Camp Chef is a very versatile cooking system that is just as much at home on your back patio as it is in the woods. I think you would find it to be a great stove for some outdoor cooking at home. My sister uses hers when she cans fruit to avoid the heat in the house. I like to use mine at home to boil crab legs without the fishy smell in the house. With the impressive selection of cooking surfaces and accessories available for the Camp Chef there isn't much it can't do.
    Thanks for watching!

These igniters are awesome and they work great once they are installed properly. I did incur a small problem while installing two of them on my 2 burner Explorer stove. I think the machine screws that are furnished with the product need to be one size larger so they actually "grab" the metal hole better that is pre-drilled into the barrel of the stove. With the threads on the screws being really course, and the pre-drilled hole in the barrel being slightly to large they tend to "slip" or "strip out" instead of tightening good and snug like they should. After trying out the newly installed igniter a few times they loosened right up and were way out of adjustment, enough that the stove wouldn't light again until I re-adjusted the igniter. Being way out in the forest and in a pinch, I fixed my problem by screwing the screws threw a small piece of wood that was placed on the inside of the barrel, it seems to have fixed it and they are holding tight for now. I just HATE having to jerry rig something I just paid good money for but what other options do I have when the product wasn't correctly engineered? I'm not sure what will happen after time, once the wood is subject to heat from cooking with the stove several times, hopefully it will last and work just fine? If I ever have any troubles with the wood I installed to hold the igniter in place I'll use a small piece of sheet metal or small nuts and bolts to fix it then.
Thanks for the video, it helped out a bunch!

Considered buying this, but the website says they no longer sell this item.

Thank you. The instructions that came with the kit were a bit vague.

I wish I would have watched this before. I cut my rod and had it just spark on the outer ring. It doesn't work.
