I finally saw one of these this summer and it kinda blew me away. I had never seen a video of it, and it was one of those I had written off as cool, but maybe not giving another thought to. I'd wager most people problem with this, including me, is that 6K is a lot of money for such a "specific" look. Great episode as always Evan.
Absolutely love this thing and GO, this has been a dream (slightly mad) dress watch for a while now! Great review as well and really wonderful footage of the watch!
I bought the current release about 6 months ago (the ice blue face) as my entree into the world of luxury watches. Sort of obsessed with the brand, as it is so classy and understated.
You'reTerrific !!! Seriously! Been watching your channel for more than a year now and every video you put out is a real work of art!! I know it ain't easy. Keep it up dude!!!
That’s the watch that caught my eye and drew me to look at Glashutte Original. Bought one preowned at a good price and have the Panomatic Lunar on my list of attainable grails.
This is totally stunning I the metal . I tried on the green variant a couple of years back and was blown away . The dial was the most stunning I have ever witnessed , beautifully mesmerising ..
Always liked it, since the first time I saw it for the first time, but I was never sure if it is a serious candidate for my collection. Unfortunately I had it on the wrist yesterday … now I’m in love.
My AD still has one of these. It's rather niche and they are still looking for the right home for it. I do like it though. BUT. They also had a regular silver dial with gold details version of it and Sweet Mother Of....Can a watch be SO gorgeous you are looking for a chair? Can you have it in one hand and a Patek in the other and it's the Patek you put down? Yes. And then I placed a deposit on a Santos Medium....(a couple months wait in these parts at present) - it will be more use to me and of course "it's a stone cold fox" :). But that Sixties will haunt me until I get one. Wow.
Glashütte Original definitely doesn't get enough love. That dial and its overall finishing are just awesome. Great video as always! Looking forward to the next one.
This along with the Green variant impress me. Since I purchased my Rolex 14270 however I just don’t think either would get any wrist time. Explorer ruined me.
Had a 42 mm Pano date, gold, black dial, stunning but never really had the opp wear it. 42 I think even with my big wrist is just to big for a dress, 39 likely killer. And that Orange……ultimate Friday nice bar big nice sweater seen.
Contemplated purchasing this with the big date. It’s a stunner but maybe just too out there for my taste. He types wearing his vanilla Rolex monochrome sub lol!
This dial, hell yeah, but those numerals, fockin hell yeah! Hell yeah mate, thanks! PS The "cheap" version of this, Vostok Classica is also amazing btw...
The designer must have read LOtR and did a bang up job, wither you read the books, seen the movies, the watch stands on its own for class and originality.
Please please tell me what song this is. Is this something by The Doors? Because it sounds like them. Shazam is giving me a new song result every time I Shazam this.
Glashutte makes some amazing watches. I have been watching this one and the Panomatic Lunar for awhile, but it’s still a touch difficult to spend the money on a watch most laypeople have never heard of.
Just came across your channel; great videos. You are also the only person I've seen who has handled the two watches I'm considering: this one (but the glacier blue) and the GS Omiwatari. Any thoughts on the two side by side, particularly as a daily wearer? It seems like the GO , while technically .5mm larger, wears a lot smaller and might be more dressier. Would be really value your thoughts, if you get this. Thanks for the great videos!
@@pkasimis Well, I ended up going a different direction entirely; but I was able to find and see both watches. I think the Omiwatari is a little dressy for a daily for me at least; if you're wearing suits more often, it'd fit in great. The case contributes a lot to the dressy feel; hard to tell that in the videos. The GO was definitely more casual. Omiwatari is beautiful, interesting, elegant. GO is stunning, fun, cool. One thing that surprised me though about the GO was that I found it surprisingly difficult to read the dial at a glance; this is probably only a problem in the blue, but, after marveling at the amazing color and the way it varies in the light, the second thing I thought was: huh, I can only barely read the time! So, even though more casual, I didn't find it very practical. Still, if I were to get one, it'd be the GO. It was a hard to pass up. I think it's a little more special. (If you're wondering: I ended up going with the JLC Master Control Calendar--totally different, but fit what I was looking for as an elegant and interesting daily wearer).
Thanks for the input…I want to check out the omiwatari in person. One of my local ADs tried to sell me on the green GO sixties a while back and at first I thought it was too Much but has since grown on me. I found the finishing to be top notch and the fit of the no date was sublime. Do you like the JLC? Obviously a great brand but I have found them to be a bit sterile in person.
Truly beautiful but I don't really have that kind of money to spend on a watch, fortunately, the Vostock Classica more than makes up for it 160 euro and you get an identical design, overall worse for obvious reasons. That was really a steal if you ask me, probably my favorite out of the 12 I own lol
the music fade out in the beginning was a bit too abrupt. otherwise a++ as always on the editing/script/camera work/etc. cool watch, but that texture kinda skeeves me out. GO has so many great watches - i really love their regulator dial chronometer. unfortunately all their watches are like 4 mm larger than they should be. (although that is true of just about every watch maker currently.)
Yours is always the watch vid that I look out for, the rest are a bit meh! in comparison. You also have a knack of picking way cool watches to review but I think you've outdone yourself with this one. Better get one now while they're affordable because people will eventually realize they ain't gonna get that Rolex and the money will find it's way to other brands like this and you know what that means.
Back in May '20 made a special trip to the Diplomatic Duty Free Shop in DT DC and they had this. I strapped it on and Wow! What a beauty of a piece. Yeah...dial like GS for sure. @nova22206 #JAWG #WOYWT
Been subbed for over 3 years - always a joy! You’re my wallet’s worst nightmare!
I'm also *my* wallet's worst nightmare.
Just subbed recently and he is now my wallet’s nightmare too
Liked before watching... Always enjoy Evans uploads... The highlight of my TH-cam week
Couldn’t agree more - excellent photography with interesting pieces and opinions
Yep, I am a huge fan also. Great sense of humour in this somewhat stuck up over hyped watch world we live in.
Y'all is too kind!
I’ve been subbed for a while now and your videos just get better and better man, 100% my favourite watch channel!
Thanks so much. That's awesome to read.
The Timex Marlin that never was! Beautiful piece, and a lot more upmarket.

I must say you have an excellent taste in music as well as watches. Always a pleasure watching your videos!
Thanks so much.
Looking forward to more Glashütte Original in the future. Great content as usual 👍

Literally a groovy dial! Super watch. ✌

Thanks so much. I have a good time making them.
GO deserves some love! Great job focusing eyeballs toward this smart brand and away for the usual suspects!
Thanks. The attention is deserved.
Thank you sir, love the watches you bring to my attention…
Hope you’re keeping well.
Thanks, you too!
I've seen it on display in Berlin few weeks ago. Could not stop starring at its dial.
Glashütte is just amazing - look at the SeaQ … it’s stunning

Great review, as always! I really hope to add a GO to the lineup one day. Such a cool watch 👏
Dammit man! Just when I was at peace with my current collection, you had to make this video.
If I had the money.... but i dont...but if I did...I might.
my local AD has it. I was sniffing around it for quite some time. Never tried it on. Tomorrow I am going to get it, finally
I bought it :)
Great work! And a super watch.

Couldn't agree more! And thanks.
I love this watch! You’ve got such great taste in pieces. Love your medium Santos and this is my favourite GO watch.
I hope you don’t make the prices jump because I’m saving for this!
This video probably won't help.
This along with the Green variant impress me. Since I purchased my Rolex 14270 however I just don’t think either would get any wrist time. Explorer ruined me.
Love the video! This watch is not for me, but obviously well designed and superb quality.

Beautiful
Both educational and enjoyable-who would’ve thought 🤔?😎
Funny, because I’m usually neither.
Need to see you get hands on the PanomaticLunar. Wanted one forever. Only a matter of time until I pull the trigger
Wow what a dial !!
...stunning, different piece...went for the 42mm date, as the winding stem on the 39mm would irritate me..
Really want the blue dial Chrono Sixties watch :)
Gorgeous
I FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON ONE!!!!! 🙌🙌🙌
You rocked again!!
🎸💥
The dial 😍
Contemplated purchasing this with the big date. It’s a stunner but maybe just too out there for my taste. He types wearing his vanilla Rolex monochrome sub lol!
Looks like a timex marlin with a grand seiko dial. Love it

Oh, interesting
The designer must have read LOtR and did a bang up job, wither you read the books, seen the movies, the watch stands on its own for class and originality.
Fantastic video! Got nothing else to say this time around except that
That’ll do
I Love Glashütte
Please please tell me what song this is. Is this something by The Doors? Because it sounds like them. Shazam is giving me a new song result every time I Shazam this.
I just did a search for “royalty free sixties music”. Definitely has an early Doors/Zombies vibe.
Awesome review!

Yeah
Looks like a typical vintage watch from the 1960's. Hope it does sell for more than....oh nvr mind, it's from glashutte original.

What a brilliant video name ! LOTR FTW
Ha. Thanks.
Not on my radar, but I just like your videos, so Douggie watchie.
Hey brother I really enjoy your videos.
I appreciate that.
This is a first for me, seeing grooved markers
Pretty rare
@@YoureTerrific so there are others? 🧐
If it was a GS
“the dial represents our lead designers puckered anus after a banger of a vindaloo, truly something for all occasions”
10/10. Would buy.
Enjoyed video
This is gorgeous, but I prefer the green version, personally.
That's a good one.
Their PanoMaticDate is pretty cool! 😎
For sure
that strap chefs kiss
Man you are on fire!

When it comes to GO, I want to like them... I really need to see one in person, but until then GO is a line that I _shall not pass_
Just here for the LotR quotes.

Love Glashutte. Wonderful quality and movements but they bettered something about discounts AD provide. Th moment it leaves a shop you loose 25%

I prefer non-limited variants, especially the blue dial one.

Indeed
G-U-B (...yeah you know me!)
You down with G.U.B.?
That dial is indeed spectacular. However the only place I can see myself wearing it is at the beach, or whorehouse.

That's been one benefit to the "Rolex situation": people are paying attention to other brands.
This watch is a flirt!
it looks like a timex marlin.
Am I the only one who sees timex marlin when I look at this one?
Both are throw-backs to mid-60's watches, I believe.
@@YoureTerrific yeah nice styling, if only I knew your wrist size for context though and why you chose the medium Santos
One of the few GOs I can get onboard with. Most of their watches just don’t do it for me like a Nomos or Lange would 🤷♂️
I get that.
The dial sorta reminds me of the interior of the planet-killer from "The Doomsday Machine" ST-TOS.
Love the front. Dead air around the movement 👎👎👎
