    Hi, you mentioned that the white ink was not printing at all. I am suffering the same issue, and I have also dropped DTF liquid into the printhead to try and fix it, but it has still not been fixed. You say you left it soaking for 20 minutes? Does that mean you dropped the liquid into the printhead and let it stay like that for 20 minutes? So far I've been dabbing it with DTF cleaning liquid, swabbing, and then proceeding.If that doesn't work, what else would you suggest? Thank you.

    Great video! Thanks for sharing.
    Removing the tray appears ideal, but my concern is stability with large prints.
    Wouldn't you need some sort of a platen/vacuum table to prevent ink-streaks?
    Common issues with L805 & L1800 where streaking appears at the end of the print, 1-3 inches from the edge.

    • @dtfprintingtechnology9457
      @dtfprintingtechnology9457  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yes, a platen won't hurt, however I have not personally had any problems with this printer either because of the shape of the tray or the film thickness that I've used. If this becomes a problem, even a piece of cardboard will do the trick.

    Hi! I set up all the instructions in this video and I've downloaded the Rip Software, but the software is very confusing. How do I get that white underbase? What settings should I have? The "Set Ink Order" is grayed out, do you know how to fix that so I can tell the printer my Red and Gray cartridges are now White? As it is, I am printing out the pictures, but it does not have that white underbase and is very difficult to heat press into the items, usually ending up half-pressed or such. Colors loook great though. Would love the help. Thank you!

    Hey, I tried to this with the same exact printer that you used, when I put a DTF sheet, It went through, ready to print, but right as it was about to print it stopped and an error showed up saying the printer was jammed. When I checked to see if there was a jam in the printer it was perfectly fine. I’ve tried with regular printer paper to see if the printer would not print anything or if it was just that printer. When I tried with the plain paper it printed perfectly. Do you know how to fix this to print on the DTF sheet?

    • @dtfprintingtechnology9457

      Yes, this printer suffers from the feeding issues and can be difficult. There is a video on this channel which goes through some film feeding tips. For a different printer but the process is quite similar.

    • @dtfprintingtechnology9457
      @dtfprintingtechnology9457  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This is not my daily driver. We run an L1800 print farm. I picked up a few printers just to film a few tutorials and experiment. Having said that, I'm still trying to keep this printer functional so it goes through standard daily maintenance we carry out on all of our printers. Shake the white ink before printing or every 2 days when idle (I extract the ink and shake it inside the cyringe). Make sure to print something every 2 days or do an automatic head clean. That's it.

    Thank you for all the replies. Great info on the xp 15000 all in one place. I really want to do black polyester shirts because they are softer and not as hot as cotton. Can dtf work for black 50/50 or does it have to be only 100 cotton? Also, if i wanted to flush the dtf ink and put in sublimation ink for white shirts would that work? Appreciate the info.

    • @dtfprintingtechnology9457
      @dtfprintingtechnology9457  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      How is your printer suppose to ignore 2 colours while only printing CMYK and applying white on top as a second layer without rip software? Printers can't do that out of the box sadly. No, it won't stop running. I would not have removed that metal thing if it was to break the printer.

      5 days is fine. Anything over a week is pushing it. You can just run a quick head clean every 3 days or so to prevent clogging. White toner is just trash in general for t-shirts.
