    The V2500 has such a peaceful idle sound. That engine could put me to sleep anytime lol.

    If I ever fly on an A320 and hear this sound, I'll be making a joke with everyone, going, "HEY! The dog from Duck Hunt is on this plane!"

      I told an old lady sitting next to me it was a dog when she asked what it was. She said, "I would never leave my dog down there." LOL!

    its a single engine 2 taxi... if they choose a eng1 to single engine, they could be use elec hyd pump to charge yellow hyd system and avoid ptu.

      Yep that unique sound of the A320 family and its hydraulic systems. Especially the PTU. One of my favorite things about flying those planes

    I don´t know what´s happens with this Airbus PTU, very noisy, many videos with PTU Noise on Pushback, Takeoff and Landing.

      The PTU basically tries to equalize hydraulic pressure of the (I think) 3 hydraulic systems. 2 of the systems are powered separately by each engine and the 3rd system is powered by APU and emergency systems. When one engine is running, only 1 of the hydraulic systems is powered so the hydraulic pressure is different between the 3 systems. The PTU kicks in to try and equalize the pressure and it does that barking sound when in action.
      According to another person's comment, the PTU went on for super long in this video because the pilots did a single engine taxi to runway and they didn't activate the electric pump to pressurize the other hydraulic system which causes the PTU to be active the entire taxi. The PTU stopped when the other engine finally got started.

    what's that humming sound? it's kinda scary, i have to fly next week and am unsure of what's to come

    • @OhioAviation
      @OhioAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nothing to be scared of. All the noises you hear are perfectly natural and especially for this type of plane. Theres alotta mechanics that go on in a plane and that humming is just noise from the engine

      @@OhioAviation Thanks!!! one more question. at 3:02 what noise is starting?

    • @OhioAviation
      @OhioAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm a huge aviation nut amd that noise you here at 3:02 is parts of the planes hydraulic system activating. When everything gets turned on after it's on the ground it just needs a minute to restart all systems. If you are ever worried flight attendants will be there to comfort you. I recommend a distraction while u fly and dont worry flying is very safe.

    anyone knows what sound is that at 3:02 really curious to find out

    • @OhioAviation
      @OhioAviation  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm thinking it's apart of either the hydraulic system kicking in or the PTU. I'd have to look into it more as well. I've been on quite a few A320s and this was the only one where it was this talkative and everything

    • @planespottingoliver7317
      @planespottingoliver7317 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OhioAviationi’ve also flown on many A320s, and i could say that if u sit exactly next to the wing, you could here it like 80% of the time, this sound even kicks in when the pilots switch off one of the engines while taxing after landing
