I have flown NKS306 (Spirit flight 306) from LAS to CMH (Las Vegas to Columbus) 3 times. That red eye sucks but I have tips for you for any red eye flight. 1 tire yourself out before the flight so you feel like you want to fall asleep as soon as you sit down. 2 Listen to soothing music (I like The Bee Gees One Night Only album). 3 take Benadryl right before you board. Thank goodness NKS306 is no longer a red eye.
I guess a light on to read in that dark cabin is out of the question? I took a red eye from Anchorage Alaska to Chicago on United. It was 6 hours of blackness but at least I had a TV screen in front of me.
I flew Spirit recently for the 1st time (hopefully the last time) from Orlando MCO to Denver for a job interview the next day. The seating was abysmal, with non-reclining fiberglass shells, covered with very thin padding. My butt hurt most of the 3 1/2 hr flight and I kept moving from side to side in order to "not go numb". Fortunately I had a bulkhead seat at the exit window so I did not suffer from the ridiculously minimal legroom most of the other seats appeared to have. I asked a flight attendant if the seats reclined, his reponse was "None of them do; this is your first time flying us? Welcome to Spirit"... I found garbage under the seat in front of me; the carpets appear very dirty, and the restrooms...well suffice it to say I only had to do "no 1"; the toilet seat, floor were dirty and it smelled badly. Again, thankfully I did not have to do a seated head call. The customer service was terrible, both at the gate and in the plane, however it was evident to me these people are demoralized by their working conditions and possibly the management practices of the airline. In closing, avoid this airline at all costs unless you need to get a "very cheap ticket" and can put up with extreme discomfort.
I’ve never flown Spirit, but this is typical Spirit Airlines fashion and I wouldn’t want to fly them on a red eye and soon will probably not be able to fly them at all as they are being acquired by JetBlue. Since the time of this video, they renamed Las Vegas international airport from being McCarren to Harry Reid. Not sure why they changed it though
@@thejazzguy13 Are you a musician? Since I noticed your Jazz logo with Guitar? Why I ask I am a Trumpet brass player I play in a Frank Sinatra style big band in SW MN.
Great report. I would have given them a 3. No snacks and drinks, makes no sense. Even though it is an evening flight, most people would still like to enjoy a coke or coffee, maybe some light snack. Beautiful Bus, love the Sharklets. You probably were pretty hungry and thirsty for something. Noticed that Dunkin, would have been right in there. Spirit needs to re-think their in-flight service, plain stupid not to offer anything.
Do love the view of walking outside the airport from a long flight.
Really enjoy watching your flight videos!! Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoy!

Great video! LAS-PIT is a long flight on Spirit!
Love to see your travels. I just took my first spirit airlines trip about a month ago and uploaded my video.
Thanks man! Very nice, hope you had a good experience with them :D
In June 2015, I flew a redeye flight on Spirit from LAS to LBE.
Noice

Oh God please stop what works for you WONT work for others
It’s too bad that most spirit A320s have the new micro try table seats.I prefer the older ones better. Great video!
I do too and thanks! Don't know what the purpose of those tiny tray tables are, but they suck haha
Great video! How was Las Vegas? It is cool to see how close the airport is to the downtown area.
Thank you! Vegas is great! Definitely is a must see city and area for everyone, and yah the closeness is awesome :)
What seat where you on in this flight?
Good info, thanks.

You saw Mystère? The Beatles Love is my favorite show in Las Vegas.
how do you get over your fear of flying i’m terrified and i have a flight coming up next week with my kids
There's just something unique about watching budget airline videos that is satisfying to a financial tightwad like me.

YAY
Spirit does offer Wi-Fi but that does vary by aircraft as not all of their planes (like the one you were on) have the devices installed.
Ah ok thanks for letting me know! That’s great if Spirit is starting to implement WiFi on their planes :)
I flew spirit to but I mostly fly frontier
Are you from the burgh? I asked because you had flights from Pittsburgh alot.
Yep I am :) But don't live there as much anymore...still fly from/to PIT a lot though!
@@thejazzguy13 you get around. Are you a Pittsburgh sports fan?

Of course! Love my Steelers, Pens and Pirates
I am a musician! That's pretty cool, I got a lot of trumpet friends, but we all play in symphony orchestras, not really big bands...but that's sweet!
You’d be surprised at how many places have slot machines in Vegas lol it’s only a matter of time until schools have them for the teachers

Spirit is an ultra low budget airline everything is A La carte to have a real person check you in cost extra. As well
don't know what flights are more quiet and somber....return flights from Vegas or leaving Honolulu
Lol well one you come back from Paradise and the other you come back with your pockets empty...
@@thejazzguy13 actually, you quite literally come back from Paradise because the strip is actually in Paradise, Nevada, just out of Vegas!
13:30 I felt my house go up
ikr
7:28 you have some long and skinny legs
31:10 Step off one school bus, step on another
That tray !! lol :)
Ikr! :D

Come fly with us
And we’ll see
I won't to going

Ah yes, McCarron airport. Decent airport, but yuck Spirit. Worst customer service there.
First world problems.
