Adam, please keep this kinda work. Even when the rest of your material is amazing, this is very deep and beautiful! Please don't stop playing and making videos. Thanks for the music.
I was surprised when I recognized that it is a blues and not a cover - but I was even more surprised when I recognized how much I love your blues improvisation! Give us more!
Hey there! It's now available for download on iTunes, if you're interested! Full link in the video description, above - thank you so much for your support! :)
Thank you so much for such a humbling comment, Wojciech - that really means the world to me. To think that someone even considers me in a similar bracket to two of my favourite living guitar players, is incredible! Thank you so much! And I'm so glad this inspired you to have a jam! As for me, no - I'm self-taught. I tried lessons to apply theory to guitar, but quit. That just seemed to work for me, but for others, lessons might be better. Finding what works is the best way, really! Cont.
Play, play, play :) Pozdrawiam
That is such a humbling comment - thank you so much! It would be my dream to write something a fraction as good as Continuum some day. 2013's my writing year - I have been making plans already haha. Thanks for your support, and so glad you enjoyed the video! :)
Judging by the amazingly kind response you all gave me to what was initially an experiment, I thought I'd make this one available for download, so it's now on iTunes for download (link in description, above). I hope to turn this into a series of upcoming videos, and will add to the album with each video. Please share this one with your friends, and I'll hopefully get round to making some more in the very near future! Thank you all for everything! With love, and God bless. :)
Being a self-confessed, raving academic, this comment has a special place in my heart! :) All the very best with your revision, and thanks for stopping by! :)
Hey there - thank you so much for watching! I agree - Hendrix is the master of improvisation, and one of my greatest inspirations! However, forgive me for feeling the need to say again that the lead guitar is 100% improvised. I have no other way to prove it other than to say there are slips. If I'd practiced this, I wouldn't have allowed myself a slip to make it through onto the video. Hope that helps, and thanks again for watching! :)
Your music is still awesome after all these years! (I think it was Myspace where I first heard you. Remember Hollywood East?) PhD? Wow! You go! (I've gone back to college myself.) I was and continue to be a fan.
Dayumn man. You're like the mash up of Bruno Mars and John Mayer. Love your improv man. Oh! you gotta tab out your slow dancing! All the best man. Cheers from Malaysia!
I probably go into all this in a lot more detail in one of the Google+ hangouts I did (two are available on my TH-cam channel). If you have the agenda of falling asleep, and a lot of patience, you might be able to wade through one of those. If not, join me on the next one soon, if you're about! I love doing them, and it's a great way to talk to people! Thank you, once again, for your humbling words. They made my day! All the very best, and thank you for watching, and for your support! :)
Great work as always Adam, really unique playing. I'd love to hear a few Mayer covers off the new album, maybe Shadow Days or Something like Olivia. Anyway, keep up the great work! :)
I wish I knew haha - ones that sound right to me, I guess! The later parts are pretty much just based around an Am7-G-Fsus2 progression, roughly. Hope that helps a bit! :)
Hey man, This is great! :D First vid I saw from you was the John Mayer song- Slow dancing in a burning room. It was perfect! I'm a massive John mayer fan :') Just thought I should say definitely do more Improvisation videos, love watching them :) Where are you from by the way?
what a great impro, so refreshing ! your strat just sound awsome(yeah I know it's all about the fingers haha ), what type of strat do you use in this video? Cheers from France !
Yeah the tone & style of play is definitely more contemporary with this session - also has hints of soul & pop- sounds Mayer influenced to me- just because John didn't play in the 70s doesn't mean his stuff is below that of Clapton etc. He is one of the better modern blues guitarists out there! Anyway I would reckon that Adams other one tape session improv(Jimi style) is more Clapton-ish in its tone and style! ALL are amazing though & I love listening to his interpretations :)
I listened to this on repeat for 3 hours while studying for an exam. Thank you for this.
Thanks so much for that, Steven! Great to hear from you, and thank you for your kind words and support! Hope all is well!
And i love the naturalness... you might have done it in one take but its fab, please more Adam!
Adam, please keep this kinda work. Even when the rest of your material is amazing, this is very deep and beautiful! Please don't stop playing and making videos. Thanks for the music.
Thanks so much, Tomeka - you are awesome! :)
I was surprised when I recognized that it is a blues and not a cover - but I was even more surprised when I recognized how much I love your blues improvisation! Give us more!
True class! Just love this. As always so well produced. Brilliant, could watch/listen to you play all day!

Immersive and groovy! Haha it was like a story was accompanying this as the music would change mood so to speak and change in tempo and feeling.
Dayumn man. You're like the mash up of Bruno Mars and John Mayer. Love your improv man. Oh! you gotta tab out your slow dancing! All the best man. Cheers from Malaysia!
I am pretty sure Gabe would be amazed by this little master piece ;)
