Well, let's see.... I'm a grown man, long time Houston resident, and law-abiding tax payer. Since the new mayor has taken over I've been cited twice in three weeks--once for an expired registration and once for slow-rolling through a stop sign. So... if this is their idea of "getting tougher on crime", I don't have very high hopes. Because middle aged, middle class white guys slow rolling through the occasional stop sign is NOT the main crime issue we have in Houston right now. WTF? There are literally armed robberies and murders on the news EVERY night--and these fools are parked at neighborhood stop signs in the Heights filling their ticket quotas for the month.
