Techno Syndrome Metal (Mortal Kombat Theme cover)

- Mortal Kombat was a big part of my childhood growing up and as the new version of the film is being released this Friday 23rd 2021 i thought i'd lay down a guitar version of the original Techno Syndrome by The Immortals mixed in with a few ideas from the new version by Benjamin Wallfisch with a more metal twist.

If you would have told 14 year old me back in 1992 when I was playing the original Mortal Kombat that one day in the distant future I would be sitting at my computer at the age of 42 listening to the theme song played by who would become one of my favorite guitarists of all time.. I wouldn't have believed it... yet here we are! What a time to be alive!

This sound is animal!
Most of the other versions of Techno Syndrome have this vocal vibes that give it real energy.
But on this one, the INSANE keyboard and the guitar creation, are the flawless victory.
I normally end up listening this one every so often, like, this is the soundtrack for a life.

I must say Andy has moved in to be one of the greatest guitarists of our generation, and possibly of all time status. It's the evolution of Satch, Vai, Dime, etc. and it is incredible!!! I can honestly credit him as helping me break through the wall that all guitar players face. Such an inspiration!!!

Well played (and mixed, for that matter). That did the original quite a service in the cover department. Just enough like it to be recognizable but different enough to not be the usual copy/pasta cover so many people do.

I've listened to several metal covers and... This one wins. This gets the basics of what makes Techno Syndrome good right. The speed, the instruments all working together, with none really overruling one and it just going FUCKING hard.

Damn that solo is one of the best solos I’ve ever heard. Contextually, it’s just perfect. That slide at 2:54 reminds of of scorpion throwing out his hook, and when Andy slide it back it’s like scorpion reeling in his prey, then that high bend is akin to his victim screaming in pain. Damn Andy, that gives me chills every-time I hear that and run that scenario through my mind. And that little pick scratch? Bloody top notch man.
