Agreed. We played his version of Amazing Grace at my father’s funeral when we lost him last fall. His rendition was right up my dad’s alley and I believe he would have been in agreement with us and choosing to play that version of it, for him that day.

My mother is 94 she loves this song every time I play it. When it came out I loved to listen to it I think it's has a whole new meaning now.
I've been skipping around this planet for 76yrs, I'm an old rock and roller. I must say that I've never heard a voice with so much power, range and emotion, it was truly a uplifting experience for me. First time I found The voice that takes me away from every single insecurity, issue, problem from my existence. Dear God .... I found a angel in a voice and singer. Every piece of me screams for more and every note goes through my heart and soul.
When you have a free moment go to wherever you want to ask for the ‘definition of a word’. I asked for the definition of the word Beautiful. 99.9% of the meaning of the word *BEAUTIFUL* describes DANVASC. His eyes are like Dark Diamonds because the beauty of his Soul Shines through them. Whether he Sings, Smiles, Laughs, or just Stares into the camera. DANVASC’s face exudes Strength. His Glorious hair is a testament of GLORY! Even when my granddaughters were only 5 and 6 years old they listened to all the versions of this beautiful song. Now I would love to share your version with them as they"ve listened to all my critics as I have been a soprano and mezzo . Love this version. It tells the story so much better than the original. This was written at a very stressful time with the Vietnam Nam war, protesters dying on college campuses and the lack of honesty about what the US military guys went through. Hell . . . Not called war back then. Thank you for this version!

Oh yes! I'm 77 and remember them well. In my day they were referred as folk singers but very good.These two metal singers just take it to another level. As I remember Paul Simon actually gave the rights and all to him because of how he revised the song.I really like most metal but sometimes hard to understand the lyrics or the real voice.

You should hear the original version by Disturbed. Dan does a phenomenal job but cannot take credit for the arrangement. Disturbed does it just a bit better.

Never thought this 59 year old woman would be in love with Heavy Metal, but Dan and Disturbed have taken my heart and I really enjoy ALOT of their music! My son started me listening to versions of Heavy Metal he thought I could "handle" and loves that I listen and enjoy. He and I share a love of all kinds of music together now.
I can't get enough. His voice blows me away, ..his ranges, can hear every word , strength and holding of notes.

Thank you for your amazing cover of Sound of Silence!! Today 06-18-2023 is the 52nd anniversary of when I met my late husband Kirk. And this song means so much because it was our favorite song from the 1st movie we watched together at the theater. Listening to you sing reminds me of the same passion and intensity that he faced life with. He has been gone 19 years but today listening to you sing it lifted my spirits to the point that I could almost feel his presencer . Thank you for making today even more special!! God bless Mijo!!

This guy has a phenomenal voice and range. What I like the most about this artist is that he sings with a genuine sincerity and emotion that demonstrates his deep love of music. It doesn't come off as a performance but more like he is sharing something very personal. (I know that may sound corny, but I can't think of a better way to describe it.)

lol! I just did the same! I heard Dan for the first time an hour ago sing amazing grace! Tears and snot all over! lol! Then I heard him sing oh holy night! More leakage! lol then I heard the cleanest sounding metal song I’ve ever heard from a metal singer 666! That’s when I sent the song to my 26 yr old airman side job metal guitarist singer writer and said sorry Quinn but your about to be replaced by a new man hero in my life I just met! 😆😆😆 I’m 63 and I love learning new songs and finding new musicians every day! ❤️❤️❤️💯

@@angiebshouse probably shouldn’t have said ‘original’. Although Disturbed’s brilliant version is different than the one by Simon and Garfunkel, it isn’t original, it is a rearranged cover.
Hi Dan, I was visiting my 80 year old mother last week, and she asked me if I had ever heard of you, I hadn't. So, she made me listen to your rendition of Amazing Grace. She then spent the next two hours talking about how brilliant your voice was and how you sang from your soul. My mom has two great loves in her life, God and Elvis, so I don't know which of your covers lead her to you but I believe you have become her third great love. I hope that she will be able to see you perform one day. She listens to you on her laptop, I am a musician so listening to anything on crap speakers is painful so I waited until I got home to my acceptable sound system and am going through your songs one by one. As I go through them so many songs that I know keep screaming to be heard through your voice, some are English, some are other languages but all are worthy of your voice. Thank you for sharing your talent with us and for passionately enjoying what you do.

When I first heard Simon & Garfunkel sing this song years ago it was good. Then I heard it done by Disturbed and it was awesome it brought tears to my eyes watching him sing and just crush it and his compassion and feelings in the song blew me away and you came along and you did this song and you crushed! Your emotional feelings and your style of singing met this song 10 times better.❤

Found him accidentally, with his Amazing Grace song. Metal singer? I thought , I dont like Heavy Metal. But gave it a listen,and WOW, was I shocked and surprised.
