  • Success as an independent insurance agent REQUIRES access to the best insurance companies. But how do you get them onboard?
This video shares three of the options at a very basic level.
    We’ll answer:
    - What is an aggregator?
    - What is a wholesaler?
    - What is binding authority?
    - What is an admitted company?
    - What are the pros and cons of an aggregator?
This is another video in our My First Million in Insurance series. Our goal is to help you make your first million dollars as an insurance agency owner. Learn more at myfirstmillionininsurance.com

What’s the difference between an IMO and Aggregator?

Great info. The biggest thing I noticed in there was the aggregators potentially own your business. How does that typically work. How do you know which aggreagators do and don't. Do the ones you mentioned own all of your business if you leave? Thanks!

Super important to pay attention to. You just have to dig in with them when you're chatting and ask the hard question: "what would it look like if I leave in 3 years?".

I just got licensed in AZ as a P&C producer. I owned a business already and I wanted to incorporate Insurance services. In your opinion; what are the best clusters or aggregators?

Am I able to do this part time? If so, which option would you recommend?

A lot of the time when you get appointed with someone they will require you to sell a certain amount of premium through them.
