"Bead Buddy - Tool Magic" is a great answer to those silicone tips once they're done, just dip your tips in it and it sets like rubber for soft jaw stuff.
It looks like the new brass bushings are shorter and result it a bit more non-parallel 'slop' at the jaws. Maybe a trade-off to increase the maximum jaw opening size? Oh, and very cool little RGB underlighting mod you have there.
Do you have a link where you got the strips from? I see some on amazon but not sure if they are the same kind. I love how you did the board. I miss playing around with electronics
