The first "expensive" present I got from Santa Claus (my father) was the first GBA with Triball design with the on/off light. I was so thankful because I finally got something that the other kids at school also had. I played hours and hours of Finding Nemo on it. Now, years later, it still works after being very careful with it. I dust it off once in a while and play some games or search for good other games to buy and play. I currently can't stop playing Sims 2 Pets. It's nothing special, but like almost any Sims game it's very difficult to put away, even after many hours of gaming. I just bought a couple of other GBA games online to try out, I'm very excited for them to arrive!

You are missing one. Big thing, that is the second gen Gameboy in the front, the original was bigger and only came in black or dark gray. It took 4 AA batteries the same as the second gen Gameboy, but the light was kin the corner by the switch and was even heavier.
I have a Gameboy Advance And it is Ice Blue and it only has three games... Crash Bandicoot 1,2, and 3... I really want Pokemon Emerald/Ruby/Saphire/FireRed,LeafGreen!
My grandpa had gotten an original gameboy when it first came out, and when I was 11 or 12 we found it in our attic and I played it until it broke and then I lost it and it remains somewhere in my closet to this day xD

Its all I can look at once they happen. Im so critical. I buy these 15 dollar anti static microfiber screen cloths. Dust, fingerprints, scratches. All my enimies. Sadly they are unavoidable.

Nice! I'm 14, and I still have my Game Boy Colour. Pokemon Crystal was my first game, and I loved it. I was shunned in my old school for being obsessed with retro games, and people always said things like 'CoD is the best game EVAR!'. It makes me sad to see that no-one cares about stuff like this anymore. Link's Awakening DX was a great game, don't you think?
Man the DS changed Nintendo handheld gaming ever since the GB SP handhelds for Nintendo where changed no more light to play the games (well besides GB light) I have a classic GBA and it is awesome I'm getting Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga tomarrow! :D
For playing GB/GBC games? If you get one of those backlit GBC mods.. you're set. If not, a GBA SP. But if you're just playing GBA games? The Micro is my favorite.

I used to have a friend who had a Game Boy Printer . . And once every few month's, he would let me borrow it (which also meant the cable) & I would then proceed to take EVERY BATTERY from the remote controls around the house. Including my own, because it took an entire pack of them.
I grew up playing the original bulky gray one with a magnifier/light contraption that clipped on so I could play Mortal Kombat and Mario all night instead of sleeping. Most of you probably don't know about those... but Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I traded in about $80 worth of junky electronics I had laying around the house (an old dusty PS1 with a few games, some original NES games (nothing rare), an NES system, a GameBoy with some games, etc. For that old junk I scored a pretty sweet DSi XL, Zelda Phantom Hourglass & Sonic Colors :D I am quite pleased. I recently ordered an GBA SP too ... JUST to play Links' Awakening DX on, which I hope to find cheaply online.

I grew up with all of them back in my day, but I also grew up with Tiger Electronic games from the 90's. Of course I threw those out with SuperMario Land for the GB. Yup those were the days. You didn't have light, no playing. And in the car with no batteries, then sorry Charlie. Another thing, you kids these days get things like, 'editing pictures'. Back in my day, sure we had the camera on the Gameboy. But it was in black in white. No tweeting your friends how awesome it was. Speaking of tweeting, we didn't have twitter back in my day. No sir, we had these things called 'Telephones', not cellphones. Here's what we had to do. Call a friend, beg him to come over. If he did, 'Ta'da', you got online gaming. If not, then you're out of luck. Now I do love some of the new technology. How fast internet is and all, but nowadays I find myself losing more and more interest in it. Somedays I go back to the N64. Back when having a character talk to you was cool, or how you kids nowadays say. "Swag, Yolo, Hashtag." Play Conker's Bad Fur Day, or Banjo Kazooie. Or if you want to go big. SuperMario 64, or Starfox. That's right kiddos. I knew the fox said before you were even born. Also enjoy the SNES and the NES. They retro and awesome. Atari is also a fantastic system. For people who don't understand the main series Pokémon titles' compatibility: Red/Blue to Gold/Silver - anything older than Micro Crystal - GBC to GBASP Ruby/Sapphire to Emerald - GBA to DS Lite Diamond/Pearl to Black2/White2 - DS or later X/Y - 3DS or later I skipped mention of titles released in between the first and last of their compatibility period so I could work within the 500 character comment limit.
There was a pokemon mini handheld. There was also this cool Japanese NGC controller made for the GBA adaptor that had only digital GBA like controls for the NGC.
