Touch screens in cars should be banned.
You cannot touch your phone whilst driving, so why are you allowed to use a touch screen which requires taking your eyes of the road.
What are you talking about about?
Every time you flip a physical switch, you take your eyes off the road.
Nothing has changed, except that the physical switch is now an object on a touchscreen.
@@fglatzel rubbish, I do not need to take my eyes off the road, I know where my controls are on the steering wheel. Or I can use voice control.
@fglatzel I do not need to take my eyes off the road to operate switches on my steering wheel as I know where they are. I can also use voice commands.
Touch screens are not placed in front of the driver, so you would need to literally look away from the road to see the screen.
@@fglatzel It seems you have never driven a car with physical dials and switches. Bless your heart

No, why should I ?🤣
I don’t think this is exclusively a Volkswagen problemI. I’m a Brit who doesn’t want an EV from ANY manufacturer.
"I’m a Brit who doesn’t want an EV from ANY manufacturer."
If that WAS true you would have said something like, "Oi, you lot, get out of 'ere!"
For Tesla started from the Start with ECars and Elon Musk is an real good Ingeneer! The VW is a huge Tanker with Worlwide more than 600tsd Workers .He had a long Way with Experience in Motortechnician and other Services! This Complete in three Years Change from Standard Motor to EMotor better than Tesla and Chinese Running on the top of E Cars is more than Sporty!
In France EV market share grew from 12.8% in june 2022 to 17.4% in june 2023 and is continuing on the same trend into this year. They are buying EVs at an increasing rate, just not buying VWs.
High overall price, cost cutting on interior materials quality and the lack of consumer trust after the diesel scandal seem to be the reasons.
You probably voted for brexit too 😂
Gosh ! You dont want to enjoy a cross country ev road trip !?
I don't see myself buying an EV in the next 5 years as reliability for me is the most important.
LOL i never had a more reliable car than our Tesla. Almost 100k miles on it. Been driving Audi A6 and Audi A8 for a decade before, they both had all kinds of issues. BEV reliability is MUCH better than any ICE will ever be, as long as you don't buy BEVs from Volkswagen carmakers. They just can't make proper BEVs.
I don't intend at all to buy an ev. I'll continue to use ice cars for the next 20 years at least. The infrastructure is almost non-existent here where I live and also, we frequently do road trips and doing that with an EV can quickly turn into a nightmare.
Reliability wise there are several thousand less "problem" parts to go wrong in an ALL electric vehicle than a Hybrid or pure combustion rig!
The biggest trhoble areas are programming and Batteries.
Much less e pensive to deal with than engine mechanics and complicated power transmission systems, which are still prone to programming/technical issues.
Well - more like 10 to 15 years until safe (in all respects) non fluid/gas batteries are available and mature.
@@kommentato1328 yes same for me. I'm not saying "no" to EV's, but some significant changes must occur before the vast majority of people buy them : way cheaper prices, a higher range, lighter batteries, batteries which can be charged under 5 minutes, a lot more charging stations.
Well, we are far far from it
That's why I believe the EV's market will collapse soon. Very soon.
We just purchased a VW Taos, 1.5 litre ICE engine. So far it's been very good. Great fuel economy. To be honest we didn't even consider an EV, they are a long way from being what we want in a car.
Every ICE engine running on pump fuel loses fuel economy after day 1 from brandnew.... I have a solution.... I fix the problem in the fuel tank.... I make the fuel more dense.
That’s unfortunate one of the lemons 🍋 from Vw I have Tiguan just little bit better but out of 70k I had injector’s problems and other things 20k they replaced water pump because it’s from plastic love the rid but not reliable
I wouldn't purchase VW anymore. Fuel economy comes at a cost: durability. All kinds of engine experts confirm VW engine durability is not the same as they used to be.
Sorry but Taos is one of the worst small SUV's you can buy. I hope you don't experience any issues but you might want to look into getting an extended warranty just to be safe.
@@gj91471I don’t understand…can you elaborate?
As an ex programmer, I can tell you with certainty they knew about the software issues. They choose to get the car out the door and hoped an over the air update would resolve the issues. Programming modules need to properly interact with each other and that takes time to iron out the bugs. I would stay away from VM and avoid the hassles.
Can't think of a company that deserves to fail more than VW.
I don't believe VW executives made these EV manufacturing decisions on their own as portrayed in this video. The German manufacturer was under pressure to conform to EU requirements on EV production.
And Renault are going all in on EV production. Planning to introduce 14 EV models over the next decade. That's EU pressure as well is it? By the way, I've got the new Renauld Mégane E, it's brilliant.
It isnt great, Brian.
The battery will need replacing soon, costing you several thousand euro.
It struggles in cold weather.
The range is poor.
The weight is destroying roads, collapsing car parks, and the fire risks are getting EVs banned from car parks and certain roads.
The electricity you use to charge your one, single car is roughly the same amount of electricity that FIFTY houses use IN A DAY!
EVs may be great as a second car for wealthy retired folks in hot climates, but for a working father of young kids in northeen englsnd who needs reliabel range for my job, EVs are a nightmare.
I had an electrified transport van for six weeks and it was NOTHING but trouble.
@@NiSiochainGanSaoirse You see the problem is that you are talking to someone who actually has an EV and can talk from experience. Almost everything you say is just rhetorical. Most weeks I charge my car once, for four or five hours on low cost electricity, how, by any calculation, can that power 50 houses and, if I may ask, how much energy is expended getting your beloved diesel extracted, refined and delivered. Secondly I will not have to replace my battery after 3 years. Not least because it is covered by the manufacturers 8 year guarantee. And even if it did eventually degrade to such a point where it would need to be replaced it would be with a reconditioned one where the 40% or so of degraded cells have been replaced. I would no more buy a brand new battery, direct from the factory than most ice drivers would buy a brand new engine as opposed to a reconditioned one. Your point about EVs in winter is just silly given that the country with the biggest % of EVs is Norway, in the artic circle. Yes, range is reduced but not by enough to worry about. And anyway, modern EVs with battery preconditioning and heat pumps have largely avoided that problem to start with. As far as weight goes, if I'm stuck behind a lorry, a bus, a large van, a tractor or a range rover I really don't feel at all guilty about the weight of my Renault Mégane.
Finally research proves that there are more fires in ice vehicles than in EVs. It just doesn't rate the hysteria on social media that EVs do. Someone recently wrote to me indignantly, "you do know that lithium is flammable don't you"? Well, yes I do - a bit like petrol!
I wouldn't deem to disagree with you over the effectiveness of electric vans. I have never even climbed inside one so I couldn't say. But most of what you have said is just the same old, regurgitated, anti EV nonsense and, with respect, I fundamentally disagree.
Hi Brian!
You are absolutely correct! My 11 year old Ford Focus Electric has seen almost no degradation in battery life.
All this negatively about BEV'S is emanating from disinformation promulgated by Big Oil that are terrified of the huge negative impact on oil demand by virtue of the inevitable shift away from ICE vehicles.
Affordable? I went to the local VW dealership and the least expensive car was a base Golf no options and they wanted almost $37,000 and ALL the electric cars were well over $50,000
Exactly. New, (and often used), car prices are insane.
😂 don’t let them scam you. Shop around first.
My segment is under £10000, so I'll take a lot of convincing, my Polo is over 10yrs old and running fine. Do they still make Polos or any small ICE cars for the financially constrained?
@@user-qk3kt7jp6o unfortunately the Polo is not available in the USA! I had a polo in France but I couldn’t have it shipped to America 😔
That has nothing to do with VW not wanting, but everything with Americans preferring large vehicles, protectionist behaviour by the US government and asinine requirements for imported cars. E.g. the US Golf has a taller suspension to meet US headlight requirements. The I.D.3 isn't coming because the mirrors are not US conform etc.
I find it hard to believe that the VW board thought to compete with advanced technology by Tesla and Chinese EV-makers by simply making a boring car with lackluster design and no interesting features whatsoever, and in the Chinese market at that! Europeans are conservative, they may fall for the inferior products of VW's EVs but not the savvy markets. I drove an ID3 because I had to, and it was really horrible. I could not even start it. We turned to a French ICE brand out of desperation.
Germany cars are too expensive
Not only that, German carmakers suck at Software end electronics.
Screw any German car based on the tariffs they put on USA cars.
VW just released their new flagship EV, the ID7. It starts at 57‘000€ in Germany. Here in Switzerland the car even starts at 68’000 CHF. There is your answer.
Just what I want. Software issues with my car. As if there aren’t enough software issues with a PC already. I need more. 😂
That's why i got a Tesla, their Software feels like iOS ... while Volkswagen sucks at software, let alone their update struggles ... :)
@@Not123Or 100% this!
You couldn’t pay me to own another VW.
NEVER again!
I'm surprised there was no mention of the thermal runaway that plagues many EVs.
Especially since it was in the thumbnail. 🤔
Probably because the rate of fires in EV's is 1/10th of gas cars. Worse, there is a big range of your chance of fire, depending on type of battery, who makes your battery, and thermal management system. Your chance of a fire in a Tesla, for example, is much lower than the average of 1\10th of fires compared to gas cars.
@@JohnTovar-ks8dpthe consequence of an EV fire is the issue. An EV fire is far more dangerous.
So in recent car park fires in the UK , when the fire hits the fuel tank ,the ignited fuel pours down to the lower levels of the car park.
Luton airport (Diesel Range Rover) Liverpool arena car park (Diesel Range Rover) .Both were uncontrollable and destroyed all the cars and car park .@@anderajohn133
@@anderajohn133it’s not, they just want you to believe that. Less people get hurt with EVs.
In fact, electric vehicle fires are so rare that statistics show internal combustion engine (ICE) cars are 20 to 80 times more likely to catch fire compared to EVs. Electric bikes and scooters also have a higher chance of catching fire compared to EVs, making electric cars relatively fire-safe compared to other vehicles on the road.
According to an Australian company that tracks passenger EV fires globally, electric vehicle fires make up a very small portion of total vehicle fires. EVFireSAFE found that there were only 393 verified EV fires between 2010 and June 2023 out of an estimated 30 million electric cars that are active on the road.
The irony of a flame a retardant coating to the internal sunshade against the issue of thermal runaway…
I have a VW golf estate…..diesel. Brilliant vehicle.
I will be keeping it until one of us is too old to drive.
I wouldn’t have an EV as a gift.
EVs are terrible why
1. Switches are tactile so you can control car functions without having to look at screens and take your eyes off the road. On rough roads busy city streets etc etc this is a serous problem.
2. Quality and complexity. Ev are not cars but electronic devices. We are used to Android Apple and laptops all being replaced within 5 years. Screens cease to work memory fails software is outdated. Cars however are expected to last at least 10 to 15 years and preferably longer in tough driving conditions. The expensive tech simply won't last
3. function fit for purpose failure charge times
4. Manufacturing quality
5. Ergonomics for people If your older getting out of a Tesla is impossible
EVs suck because:
1) the battery
2) the battery
3) the battery
4) the battery
5) the cup holder. Actually, it's the battery again
Last year we changed our 2017my GTI for a new 2023 id.3 58kwh ProPerformance. It's been absolutely fantastic, I prefer it to the MK7 Golf. We also have one of the first up! GTIs so are a bit of a Volkswagen family. I have no problem with the infotainment etc, but I do wonder why this over complex screen based system is automatically necessary just because a car has electric propulsion? It just seems to add another layer of unfamiliarity creating buyer resistance. Is it difficult to use? Not really, but is it any better than knobs and buttons? Definitely not! So whats the point?
VW Group said they would stop developing new petrol engines. And yet the Skoda Octavia update got a new small 4-cylinder
My 2023 ID.4 has had a few glitches that seem to resolve themselves. Fit and finish is superb. The ride is quiet with no squeaks or rattles. As to the sunscreen recall, I don't consider this to be a major concern. It doesn't affect the driving safety of the vehicle. I'll have the flame retardant applied when I take the car in for it one-year check-up. I think weaker EV sales is due to a large extent by the poor charging infrastructure in the U.S.
Had many VWs in the past. I really do like them the first 100K miles or so. After that, it's a maintenance nightmare.
I drive a lot and I never will agree to buying a mobile phone with wheels. All controls condensed into a touchscreen is simply asking for potential death by minor collision and subsequent battery fire or explosion 🔥
Fully gas cars are going 100% touch screen too.
Digital screen infotainment displays aren't exclusive to EVs.
I've literally seen 100% ICE cars controlled 100% by touch screens
Seems a very North American view point. Software has been an issue but having watched almost every video about the Skoda Enyaq (ID4 derivative) these software glitches don't seem as prevalent and new software appears to have resolved many issues. Although Skoda the budget VW brand does appear to be overtaking VW on quality.
When computers first emerged, early adopters had access to capabilities like word processing and spreadsheets that were exclusive to computer use. However, there is no comparable advantage to being an early adopter of electric vehicles (EVs). Everything achievable with an electric vehicle can also be done with a gasoline car. So, what prompts the rush to acquire an EV?
The legacy manufacturers must find a way to make a deal with battery producers to drastically cut thr biggest cost and, so reduce prices of all offerings.
I owned a 2001 TDI, later a 2005 Passat, and my wife has a 2017 Golf Alltrak. I like VW cars, and was almost ready to buy a 2022 id.4 for my first EV. I opted for a Ford Mach-e instead and am very happy with my decision. It seems the id.4 has serious growing problems and isn't ready for prime-time until the 2024 model. This is more of a manufacturing and quality issue than an EV issue.
Geez. Even a gas Golf is like $60k now. Screw them!
Ford is slowing down production of EV and stopped f150, GM also slowed down.
What if they encased the battery pack with a fire/oxygen blanket to smother any fire?
They`ve run out of idiots to sell them to!
People are finally learning that EVs are NOT as environmentally friendly as they assumed. There are MANY sources of information on this. TH-cam does not allow links in comments so just search for this video: Is California’s Mission to Reach Zero-Emissions Possible?
They are?
Not when you have to dig up 200 tons of rock and soil to get just the lithium make one battery, then there is still poisonous cobalt and other nasty stuff, and when they are finished with it costs £5 to get £1 worth of material back....
@@chrissmith2114 They still are by far. Isn’t EV manufacturing more destructive?
Manufacturing any vehicle has environmental consequences, from sourcing raw materials to building and shipping. EV manufacturers also need to procure and process lithium and other minerals, which has harmful impacts.
But unlike a gas-powered car, which pollutes all the way through to the end of its life, the average EV makes up for the higher environmental cost of its production within the first few years of ownership.
@@Wilem35 Only if the EV runs on only renewable electricity, and even renewable electricity has to pay back the emissions used in manufacturing the wind and solar panels, and solar panels contain toxic materials and cannot be recycled, wind turbine blades only last 5 years and are sent to landfill because nobody recycles them.
EV are relatively environmentally friendly if the electricity come from renewable energy and the batteries are recycled.
But trains are better.
I love reading the comments on these videos. Every time somebody puts a negative comment about EV’s, there are replies saying how great EVs are, how safe they are and how reliable and fast they are. You start to get the feeling that these people work for the EV companies.😂
They are known as 'EVangelists' ...
@@chrissmith2114briljant!
I don't like VW, or any VAG/P, but none of this shows an eminent crisis for VW. Just typical growing pains. All EV manufacturers are struggling to sell their inventory. That was a wasted 5 1/2 minutes.
Driving the ID.4 since three years. Great car. 🤷
And for sure I would never buy a combustion engine again.
Most EV ( 70% ) are leased by companies, not many people buy their EV because the depreciation is described as 'vertical'..... A private buyer can not afford to lose over half the EV car value in 2 years... Anyone buying a used EV ( it may be cheap due to massive depreciation ) is buying a ticking financial time bomb because if the battery goes bad the car is too expensive to repair, and a total loss to the owner.
All cars being produced anywhere have too much technology. This makes them expensive and overkill for the average user.
The Electric Viking gives regular updates on EV sales by all the big names.
What has the fire regs regarding sun shade to do with electrification? That could easily be a problem with any car electric or otherwise. As for their well publicised software problems they will be overcome and be just a distant memory. Much the same as years ago rust was a major problem for fiat until the introduced galvanising, come to think of it so did Datsun now Nissan have the same problems.
The 2023 models fixed most of the initial issues. The ID7 and the 2024 models use up to date technology for digital control and motors and with the 4-wheel models also much more modern battery and charching. Current motors for the 286 PS models or higher have 550Nm torq and charge very efficient in 28 minutes form 10-80 percent. They work on most chargers and even teslas supercharger.
I mean, when you compare cars like the ID7 to their competition, for exemple the peugeot e3008 gets you the same range for a lot less money.
I love my wife. She talked me out of buying a VW ID4
We purchased two Toyota Rav 4 Primes. Best built smartest cars yet. 40 miles EV range gasoline 38 mpg
Don’t over think it. People don’t want them. It’s not hard.
EVs are in essence external combustion engines. The driver of their EV drive it guilt-free thinking they’re cleaner but the pollution is emitted at the power generating company. Such a hassle trying to find charging stations.
No way I'm buying any car that deprecates so quickly that you can't believe it and be worthless when the warranty ends
NHSTA is not an "association".
National Highway Safety and Transportation ADMINISTRATION.
They fixed most of these issues
My best wishes to VW's attempts to go electric.
The failed in their past attempts, but they can succeed if they go back to their roots and focus on simple cheap and reliable cars for the masses.
Plus... Personal data privacy, nobody wants the data from the new electronics to be harvested and sold. Our data is OURS!!!
Precious little evidence of that happening. Most manufacturers are concentrating on massive behemoths with eye-watering price tags.
@@mal6232 Understood and I agree with you.
It is exactly why even though I want to buy an EV, or even a nicer car in the next few weeks, I already decided to buy a an inexpensive but reliable and fuel efficient gasoline car. I will likely even go for the base trim, to avoid as much of the privacy violating "convenience and safety" features.
Besides lower "life of the vehicle" costs and depreciation, by going small and inexpensive I am also risking far less of my money at a time when gas and electricity prices, laws and taxes are still uncertain in the US. In the EU it is easier, safer and more cost-effective to choose the EV route, so if I lived there my decision would likely have been different.
Those car making fools do not understand how much money they are throwing out of the window by only pursuing overloaded and overpriced cars that depreciate rapidly.
You couldn't give me an EV! At minimum the industry needs a major battery improvement. Even then....
The way he introduces this random guy Brandon... Brandon, this you?
i use a solar powered ebike to get around and ill admit its not quite as reliable as id like. i don't have range anxiety as i have a secondary battery for emergency use and can use it to charge my primary battery if it runs out. i can also build my own extra batteries one my main battery gets smaller capacity over time.

If after Dieselgate you're still buying VW group, you're getting what you chose, can't complain.

Step 2. Make attractive cars, not dull looking vehicles.

Why Volksmaster UK ?
There won’t be any EV cars in 5 years. They suck.
Our ID3 was unable to timer charge or preheat the interior for over a year. Range rapidly dropped and remained about 90 miles less than when delivered. VW customer service is a separate company so you can't speak to VW. Switching to Hyundai who seem much better. Never buying VW again, awful service.
Why would I buy a Volkswagen ID when I can get a full electric Volvo XC40 for less, which looks better, drives further and is more reliable?
I've got a Renauld Megane E. Beautiful car. A delight to drive. Charge it once a week on low cost electricity. On long journeys the charging network here in France is superb. Waste no more time than i would stop with an ice car. Fed up with hearing about invented problems.
How come people is believing EV is co2 free? People does not know where and how the electricity which is indispensable to operate EV come from.
Poor dealer service. Sold mine.
First, The styling of the GTI EV 2026 is 100% perfection! Now for the bad, GTI's / Golf R's are bought by true enthusiast on a budget. Making the GTI an EV will not go over well for so many reasons. To make this EV the slightest bit tempting to enthusiast would mean a $60,000 price tag,.....Much like the IONIQ 5 N. But even with that said everything about the IONIQ N is fake, no matter how hard you try to fix that problem you'll never be able to trick the mind and the driver connection with the car. So with that said an enthusiast will NOT buy this car! As a LONG TIME Volkswagen and Audi owner, and I see this company digging a hole for it's self over the last few years. And from what I see coming down the pipe line it looks more like a death sentence in the long term future for the US market, especially for VW! Volkswagen once was the big bang for the buck German fun car, the car manufacture people went to to be different, and get a true driving experience for not a ton of money, and to get great styling at the same time. Back in the day If you were a VW owner you were viewed as the cool fun guy with some smarts about you, and probably a person you'd want to know. Today VW looks like nothing more than rental fleet, the owner image would be that of a BORING PERSON, the person that buys a car to get to point A without spending to much money on gas. The kind of person that's not really happy in life. A person that doesn't put much thought past what frozen pizza they are going to eat that night. Someone that couldn't have much connection with a human being much less a car,....And that's just touching on style! Whats under the hood is totally emotion less! What once was a #1 car manufacturer for soooo many enthusiast has very quickly become mundane and forgettable! This is also becoming the Audi brand as well, that is unless you have super deep pockets, - say $70,000 to well over $100,000 to burn. I currently own a 2015 Audi SQ5, a 2013 Audi Allroad, and a VW -GTI, sadly I'm getting the feeling as these cars get phased out in my garage I will be forced to give up completely on this company, and I know I speak for so many people here! You’re going to be disappointed.
@chrisbuxton1958 When I was a teen. I had a mowing business. One of my customers gave me a gulf cart. I am 53. I wished it could be a real car. I couldn't wait for the future. Now I have seen the future. The one thing I wished now was real. Is Musk selling tickets to Mars. I would buy a one-way ticket. They way EVs are. They are pointless to own one. Yet. Every time I see an Elite personal mega yacht and knowing each at average, take 80,000 gallons of diesel. No, I do not want to buy an EV. I thought it would be amazing to even own an EV aircraft. I’ve said this from the start, until batteries offer the same range and footprint as a fuel tank and can be charged within 10 minutes they aren’t an alternative to ice cars for most of the world, end of conversation.
Hmmm How do you spell Volkswagen in Chinese?
I'm very fond of muy ID.3. I have one of the first ones and had my part of software issues. But since software 3.2 the software is quite good
Hey I love my id4. It ticks all the boxes and is the most comfortable car I have ever driven. I can drive 1000km in a day and still get out of the car with a smile.
Except you are not able to do 1000 km😂
Max 300 maybe if you drive really, really carefull, no AC, good weather etc
The latest infotainment system is one of the best ones, so for 1. point, you're late. So they are getting there.
I see myself never buying an EV. I still don't know what having these unreliable and inefficient vehicles will accomplish.
Car manufacturers have been strong armed by misguided or deliberately destructive policies into creating production cars using interim tech. No country will ever have the infrastructure necessary for this battery powered version of an EV.
Everyone just out to bring down any success story by all means.
Yep. What a load of crap. Must have been difficult to fill that video with baseless bullshirt.
VW needs to make a new Diesel car again like my old diesel sports wagon.
I know! Small displacement diesels compete with hybrids in MPG. Imagine if they made a hybrid diesel. It sounds to me like regulators would rather us strip mine the earth to death for precious metals mined by child labor. Unfortunately China controls most of the mines for Nickel, Cobalt, and Lithium. I wonder why regulators would rather auto manufacturers be at the mercy of China so badly. Hydrogen is the most abundant element in our solar system, and I think the universe iirc. Toyota seems to be the only manufacturer hanging on to hydrogen fuel cell technology. And we wouldn't have to rely on China to make the cars. Weird stuff.
regulators have weak brains, weak links and great egos.@@175dell

No, thanks. I have to inhale too many toxic exhausts every day already, no need for even more !
Growing popularity? I don’t think so , ford f series trucks for $7000 us hertz offloading all it EVs , dealers catching fire 😮😮😮
The only crisis is that being suffered by oil companies, who are paying for this type of video to put you off buying an EV
If someone invents an affordable machine that provides the owner with free heating forever, only consumes a teaspoon of sugar a year and produces no pollution videos about it will be full of comments about how awful it is. The gammon are always with us.
waiting for LFP battery cars to be come mainstream...
The biggest problem they will never overcome is range of travel , well maybe if the battery pack was a trailer.
Range is a non-issue. Been driving all across Europe, from Estonia to Croatia, to Moldova.
@@Not123Or It may be a non-issue in your head but that is not what every survey says. Range anxiety is around number 2.
No2 reason for folks not to buy perhaps. Not so much for people who have driven an EV for a while. Wont say it doesn’t need some planning, and if you are in a nonTesla it’s harder than it should be, but generally range > bladder capacity and the main thing is making sure your chosen stop place has functioning chargers.
@@gothmog2441 How about I plan my travels for what is convenient for me and not have to even consider where I charge, and the time wasted to do it, hmmm if only there was a way....
@@mal6232anxiety is a emotional problem, not a factual one
Who wants Computers on wheels ?
I can not stand these LED-screen-landscapes in modern cars.
VW: they really look forward to dismantle themselves (giving up ICE and trying to force EVs nobody wants) - and the german tax-payer will have to bail them out because they are "system-relevant".
Europe is considerably smaller than the US
Tesla's cars work since Tesla is a technology company, not a car company....🙂
Yep, best car i ever owned. If you talk to VW owners and hear about their software update struggles it sounds like from a different planet. ...
If traditional auto wants to sell EV's they need to be a 2000 - 3000 cheaper than Tesla , no one is going to pay more for less
So much for the scout bye bye
I don't want a disposable gadget instead of a car. I refuse that crap. Love my V6 TOYOTA! Everything else is garbage.
We have a 2023 ID.4 which does not have any of the problems you alluded to in the video. When you have such a huge transition of technology like this, there are inevitably going to be problems with customer acceptance and things like range anxiety. We had a degree of anxiety before we went on our first road trip in the vehicle, but with proper planning, we had no problems. There definitely is a shortage of level 3 charging stations, but we hope that this is improving with a better infrastructure. People will eventually realize that we cannot continue to send huge quantities of polluting emissions into the atmosphere. Electricity for EVs has to be derived from renewable sources.
This being know, why would the Liberal Goverment in Canada 🇨🇦 invest Billions into VW Battery Plant in Winsor Ontario Canada .
Because that's about all they can do without pissing off our "friends" to the south whomget billions of taxpayer money to not closemtheir factories in Ontario, where they churn out their low quality clunkers which they only manage to sell with huge rebates. As long as we keep kissing up to the US, there is no incentive to bring attractive European cars over.
The electric motors on EV's are amazing torque vectoring individual wheels❤️, it's the literally bomb u & Ur family are sat on.
In a ICE car half of the "fuel" is O² which it doesn't have to carry.
With an EV you have to carry 100% of the fuel you need, which is underneath you.
& One bad cell of the thousands can go bang causing thermal runaway 🔥🔥🔥or out gassing💣🔥. EV's need a battery innovation, lithium batteries are safe on up to motorbikes. That's it.
I still don’t understand how BYD went from making underwear to building EVs.
😂😂😂
To show fruit of the loom how it’s done
BVD?

EVs are a dead end, more suited for city driving, but requiring home charging for economy. This leaves out a significant number of apartment dwellers.
Well why for some reason to VW think that their EV range can have a Cheap looking laptop in place of their proper dashboard, poor software and horrible buttons on their steering wheel
Most of the points in the video are applicable to ICE VWs, so what is your point 🤦
I thought that Volkwagen sacked it previous CEO, because he was very proactively Ev
Most EVs, and those by VW especially, look like crap.
What would happen if a bullet pierced your battery pak?
if there are flying bullets around your car, whether it is ice or ev should be the least of your concerns... just emigrate!
BOOOOOOM! and much fire.
Where there is fire there....... are EVs.
