This is one reason why you get blocks and hooks. For me the other reason which needs to be checked is the start of the take away, I tend to start too much on the inside, so inevitably in the downswing I mirror that fault. Always check whether the start of the take away is straight back
This will be a change for you. As the grip handle comes into the impact area, the left shoulder & hand " pulls" the end of the club up & in following the core of the body. Pulling the left "whips" the clubhead. If add the right hand power at this point, you get a term called coupling in physics. 2 opposing forces centered in between the hands for a massive speed increase in the release, example- look at Rory McIlroy as he releases the driver. It is a large power point not explained by teaching pros. Using "gears" they have been able trace Rory's swing power at Taylormade.
this is me. Kills me...push push hook hook.. Glad to see this video
Great video I have this problem. I have to try this drill

My golf teacher did this drill with me earlier in the year. It was a huge help for me as I swing too much from the inside.

So the problem with blocks isnt a result of hanging back, too late to get over pressure to the left foot?
It can be one of the causes. Basically if your path is too much from the inside and your clubface is open then that causes the block.
@@MichaelNewtonGolf yes, ok. thanks a lot!!
Just been thrown off the driving range for jogging out & planting a stick in the turf. 👍🏻
😂 sorry!
I’m a better player, 2 handicap but I’ve always fought a delivery that is sometimes too inside. This is an excellent video. I will work on this.
