    3 pieces of 19 or 20 gauge square wire, 8.5 inches each(you may need longer if your stone is larger than mine)
    22 gauge half-round wire(no need to measure and pre cut, just keep it on the spool and use as needed)
    Larger cabochon(mine is larimar, oval shape, about ¾ inch)
    Smaller cabochon(mine is rainbow moonstone, about ½ inch tall )
    All my wire is dead-soft bare copper
    I oxidize my bare copper wire using liver of sulfur to achieve that darker look you see in the thumbnail of the video, here is a video on how I oxidize: • How to Oxidize Bare Co...

    Just used this tutorial for the first time. I was intimidated by it for a while but turns out it's much easier than it looked. Wish I could post a photo. It looks really good

    This is exactly what I was looking for to make a necklace with some stones I collected during my vacation. I wanted to include two but have never done that before so this gave me a good idea on how to do it. Thanks for sharing

    I'm getting inspired enough to try wire wrapping again. After having a dismal sunmer last year trying to learn, I backed off to regroup mentally. With designs like this, I really want to try again. Thanks for sharing your time and talent.

    You seem to use dead soft square. What are your thoughts on half hard. I found on working on smaller pieces the wire doesnt seem to work harden like the larger pieces. I've never had half hard so not sure what to expect. Love your videos. For a newby you are a blessing ☺

    Nice simple and easy. But looks unhindered keeps the stones the show place.

    Awesome! Where do you get half round, square and dead soft wire from? can't seem to find it anywhere!!

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can get half round and square copper wire from Rio Grande, dead soft if the hardness of it, so just make sure to select dead soft and not half hard.

    Hello! We don't have any round wires available, so can I make it with only round wires?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can but it is just a little more difficult. I'd use 20 gauge round wire for the base and for the thin weaving wires I'd use 28 or 26 gauge.

    I really enjoyed the video but I have a question. Does the 19 gauge wire have to be square & does the 22 gauge wire have to be half round or can other types of wire be used? I'm sure that it may be easier to use the square & half round, but just curious. Thanks!!!!

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might be a bit more difficult with round wire, especially trapping that top stone, I would suggest a smaller top stone to make it easier. But I think theoretically it should work with round wire, although I have not tried.
