You fellas are scratchin a giant itch that I have had for a long time. I've been a committed Christian for most of my life and I'm also the guy that read Fingerprints of the gods and watched Close Encounters of the 5th kind. I have always thought that the history and information in those (and many others) is remarkably compelling/terrifying. Thank you for providing a Christian perspective on things that no one seems to want to talk about. Outstanding production value as well.

I've talked to many people - non Christians - who have told me personal stories of high strangness. Things they interpreted as ghosts, swirling vortexes of darkness, and a vision of an old man offering secret knowledge... I think most people have these experiences but don't like to talk about it.
Jimmy Kimmel did an interview with an actress from WandaVision. She said she grew up in a historical house; very old. He asked her jokingly if it was haunted. But he was surprised when she answered seriously, "It was haunted as hell." And then said she didn't want to talk about it because she didn't want people to think she was crazy.

My husband and I stayed with a Filipino family for a month. They lived on the beach. The grandfather, Tatay, was an ocean fisherman. He told us about the light wheels. They were well-known in that area. The Filipino fisherman had a little rhyme they would say when they saw one, which basically translated to, "Ball of light, go away and leave me alone."
I also heard stories of a frightening ball of light from hunters/rice farmers living in inland Borneo. In one story, the large light appeared to three men who were staying overnight in the woods. Two were paralyzed by it, but the third managed to drive it away with the use of a spell that involved standing on one leg.

    41:21
"It kind of ties in that geography principle that I was talking about earlier, where some demonic beings would flock to a pagan demonic place, pre-Christian place, sort of un-Christianized place."
Maybe it's outside the scope of the show, but I'd love to see something on locations in India, Bhutan, Nepal, etc. where entire villages, cities, maybe the whole country is overtaken in this way. I don't know how gospel work goes forward in such locations. It seems overwhelming. This is not like Western cultures that tend to separate the spiritual from the secular, where you live your regular life over here, and then have your religious practices over there. These are entire cultures built on the spiritual. I remember discovering the Indian city of Varanasi. I think I first read about it in some Christian magazine. I wish I still had that. I made the mistake of looking up more information, including videos.
I've never seen anything so openly demonic. It's a place of death. They dump dead bodies into the Ganges and then bathe in it and consider it something holy. People have it as their final wish to die there. There are the supposed "holy men" who run around naked, covered in ashes. They look insane. I won't even describe some of the things they do. How can you see that and not admit this is not normal! Even if you generally don't believe in the supernatural, how can you see that and not at least consider the thought that... something evil is going on here. But, again, they are viewed as holy. I don't know how any sane person can see such horrors and think this is something "spiritual" in a positive sense! Can't you physically at least smell the stench of the bodies decaying in the heat?! How can you not?
The worst part was seeing the Western tourists who go there and they think it's fantastic too! That part freaked me out the most. I can understand it from people who live there, who grew up under this worldview, who know nothing else. But Westerners who grew up in comfortable homes with running water and sanitation and who've seen proper disposal of dead bodies and all the rest - they obviously have some money, otherwise they wouldn't be able to travel to such countries. They see and smell the death, they see the CLEARLY deranged "holy men" (even if they give it a secular term like "mentally ill") and think it's all wonderful and "spiritual" in a positive sense.

While intriguing, the Richat Structure is completely natural. It’s not a crater from a meteor, it’s a geological igneous intrusion, a magma dome. The ring are formed by different types of igneous and sedimentary rocks that erode at different rates. There is no evidence of man made structures, let alone an advanced civilized city. No evidence of a canal bisecting the rings. Atlantis had man made walls and canals, not ridges. It is not an island located west of the Pillars of Hercules, or the Straight of Gibraltar, but south. Atlantis supposedly was destroyed by an earthquake before being sunk into the sea, overnight. The Younger Dryas meltwater pulse 1b occurred 11,500-11,200 years ago when the sea level rose 43 ft over a period of 300 years, but not as plato described it as one catastrophic night. No, it wasn’t always a desert, and yes, the topography was quite different. It’s estimated to be approximately 100 million years old. It was likely formed as the supercontinent Pangea was being ripped apart into continents. The internet and social media is rife with pseudoscience, making wild assumptions that sound really cool, but have little to zero evidence to back them up. It is quite fascinating, and there have been numerous potential locations that have been postulated, but none match 100%, as it most very likely never existed in the first place. Fantastic discussion, though!

I had heard and agreed that that formation in the Sahara was likely Atlantis which I figure was probably an actual city at one point and I certainly believe there was a global flood as recorded in Genesis. I'm not so sure though that the sinking of Atlantis was due to the flood. The reason being, if stories about pre-flood civilizations persist, then they had to come from Noah and his family. Why would they share a tale about one particular city being destroyed like that thousands of miles from where we think they lived? Let alone that city in Japan. I imagine a global disaster wiping out nearly all mankind today, and I, living in south Texas, decide to emphasize to my decedents the story of New York City falling. Pretty sure I'd be more inclined to talk about the fall of human civilization as a whole, or at most talk about some of the specific things I witnessed in my area. At the very least you would think the story would mention it was one of all cities that was destroyed at the time, not just a single city that had a disaster. Not to mention the way the story talks about it being an island that sinks. That'd be a strange way of describing something going under water due to 40 days of rain.

  • @nickdunnebacke7240

Loving the podcast! I think what you are getting at here is unified field theory where people of other times and cultures are witnessing supernatural phenomenon and just coming to different conclusions and really just different names for demons. I agree with this. Just with how often human sacrifice is used as worship across cultures makes sense that their deities are really demonic. What got me super interested in the Bible was giants, and not just Goliath, but the Genesis 6 story of giants being the offspring of demons and humans (through possession of a human male knowing a human female since angels/fallen angels are spiritual I believe) I wonder if these sea monsters and dragons were the actual demons themselves (not sure since I believe demons are spiritual entities) but rather demon/animal hybrids produced in a fashion similar to what I mentioned above with humans. (we do know demons can possess pigs in the gospel of Luke) So a demon and a human would produce a huge human (giant) maybe a demon and a reptile would produce a huge reptile (giant) as well. I also think it is interesting how much symbolism there is with dragons in Great Britain and also China. Not to mention Satan is called a red dragon in the book of Revelation I believe. If you touched on the blowing fire aspect that would have been neat. It is interesting how animals/bugs can generate light, (angler fish, glow bug) generate electricity, (electric eel) produce poisons and toxins, (snakes, frogs) change their colors, (chameleons) regrow lost tails, (lizards) etc. I know this episode was about Leviathan, but hoping you will hit on Behemoth eventually. You might want to reach out to SamTripoli to see if he would have you guys on his podcast Tin Foil Hat. That has a huge audience, and doesn’t need to be in studio so there wouldn’t be travel expenses necessarily. He has had many Christian guests especially discussing the Nephilim. To my knowledge no one has gone on there and discussed Creationism especially with your old world looking twist. They have discussed Simulation Theory, (which I think God’s Test for us could be classified as) hollow earth, and flat earth. So no topic is really off the table with them. I would push back on your young but old looking earth theory personally because I don’t think God does anything deceptively. You are a young earther, you just don’t know it yet 😉 No big deal though, young or old earth is not a matter of salvation, but it is a fun discussion to have.

Yeah I remember that great white story at the end, it's still told pretty commonly around here (I live in the southwest of Western Australia). I'm not 100% sure, but I think there was another similar event recently of a great white being attacked and dragged down by some unknown creature. For reference, though, a 3m great white is about half the size of what we know they can get to, so as far as great whites go, not really a big one

Many sightings of plesiosaurs say that the head resembles a horse's head. I wonder if this is where kelpies came from.

Olaus Magnus was Swedens last Catholic arch Bishop. After him the Brothers Olaus and Laurentius Petri arrived in Sweden from Wittenberg where they had studied under Luther, and Sweden was soon the first larger Protestant kingdom/state.
So guys! What about Trolls? Are they giants? Like Og and Tolkiens Ogre

Wrong! Wrong wrong wrong. The only thing we can assume is that the measuring device was dragged down. That can be true without the shark going with it. Maybe a bigger shark bit off a chunk of that that shark and dove down

I've always liked Kent Hovinds theory that's the Leviathan was a T-Rex. He postulates that the T-Rex is too awkward to be a terrestrial animal it would need to be a semi-aquatic in order to support its own weight, and there's enough free space in those giant skulls it makes chemical cocktails like the bombardier beetle does

Really enjoyed this episode! Just found you guys from Sheologians. Idk if you guys have researched Malta. My husband and i went there in 2019. Absolutely loved it. We went to the Hypogeaum. Look up the creatures under the Hypogeaum...and the lost children of Malta. Obviously some weird demonic stuff from an ancient civilization. Creepy, but interesting. Also, considering God had Paul shipwrecked there....

Love what y’all are doing, but yea. In my opinion I don’t like background music.
Especially not mixed as loud as you are mixing. It’s hard to hear what you are saying.
