For those who were wondering why this thing is so high pitch, the dampers that allow this siren to do hi lo are wired directly to the starter contacter. As a result both dampers close when the moter is active. And with the moter being a single phase universal motor, since it has much less load then normal, the choppers spin much faster than they are supposed to. In attack, they go really go up to full speed as it takes a while to get to full speed. Thats why it sounds louder when spinning down than when running. Im still so surprised that they never even bother fixing this siren.
Nice video, but you think this poor siren should have been fixed by now. It's a good thing that it is *still* going, even with the dampers closing once it winds up.

Inhale, Exhale, Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale.
I don’t think it should be breathing Dylan, it should be screaming like the rest of us.
Nice Video!

It sounds like it's trying to do Yeow.
(I know it's not.)
Honestly since you mention it kinda does make me think of some goofy “yeow” signal
Sounds bad
