After departing from the group he went on to launch a successful solo career in the music industry. That spanned more 3 decades. He spawned soul hit ballads and songs that made him a household name. He also was a sex symbol for his female fan base. Teddy was in a fatal car collision that left him paralyzed for the remainder of his life in 1982.
