My husband and I just visited NYC for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it! We only had a couple of days, and we did so many things. Some of our favorites were seeing Hadestown, being pros at taking the subway, drinks at the Skylark, and the ricotta balls & mozz sticks at Alleva!!! Thanks Sarah! We can't wait to go back!

Most came by boat... into Ellis Island. Some stayed. Some went west and some went south.
Nice video I moved to NYC in 84 and little Italy has been just mulberry above canal but it was much bigger and split half with Chinatown should be a video on how this happened

I believe you shared some info about Umberto's Clam House and the bullet holes in the restaurant itself. The movie The Irishman is about a guy from Philly who himself was not Italian but grew up in a neighborhood very close to one of Philly's Little Italies and knew the language, culture and mentality. He was a hitman who did not guns, worked alone and with a knife. He is supposedly the one who killed Crazy Joey with a knife.

Do you (or does anybody?) know why such a infamous iconic place, such as Umbertos Clam House, why did it move (change locations) one block in Little Italy?
Was the rent/real estate so much cheaper at the new location, to entice them to move?
Are there any restaurants in Little Italy and Arthur’s Avenue that speak Italian or no one there speaks Italian anymore?
There are definitely still Italian speaking people in Little Italy!
