Many years ago I worked in Brooklyn on Court Street and Montague. On my lunch break, I would walk around Brooklyn Heights or, sit at the Promenade and chill. I fell in love with that area. It is so beautiful and serene.
Now those views of Manhattan from Brooklyn looks awesome especially at sunset! Those tacos are delicious! I feel like I could eat nothing but tacos the entire time in NYC and be a happy camper especially after seeing the ones from your Bronx video last week along with the ones you got here! I really enjoyed this one!
Sarah, the tacos, the lard bread, the German Pretzels, I feel like I could eat a horse right now. And that German Lager your hubby was chugging down looked delicious. Brooklyn looks awesome. I know this video is about 3 years old, but I am definitely interested in learning more about the other Burroughs in NYC. I will look up all your stuff , as I am a loyal subscriber, to see if you have videos on Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island, I will be sure to watch. Thanks for these Brooklyn videos. I knew there were a lot of cool neighborhoods there, but you really bring them to life for me. Oh, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I stumbled across Fette Sau in 2019 when I visited NYC last and sadly I was suuuuper disappointed. The food was cold and the ribs were kinda dry! The beans and wings were amazing tho! I’ll have to give it another try. Maybe I caught them on an off day!
I live a couple of blocks back from the park, and Squibb Bridge being finished was sooo exciting! It’s beautiful, and makes it so much easier to get down there from BK Heights. 😊
Oh man when you mentioned birria landia I got the instant craving lol 😂. My boyfriend lives 2 blocks away from the truck (in queens location) but the line is insane! They’re worth it 😩

My husband and I were visiting Gantry Park today and I saw a Birria taco truck. The tacos were yummy, thank u! When I got home I realized the name was different - “Birria Del Toro Rojo” but still really good

Authentic Breakfast Tacos are sadly not covered in NYC. King David Tacos has DELICIOUS Austin style BREAKFAST TACOS! Check them out. They have a mobile food cart that serves them grab-n-go style 7 days a week at Prospsect Park in Brooklyn (Grand Army Plaza). I know the owner and can arrange a meet up at the cart :)

Came back home for the holidays to visit my mom and family friends. I always check out Dumbo even though lots of tourists take pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge. I rented a car because I was driving all over the place. What was disappointing about the experience is the parking experience. When I grew up here, it was never this bad. The roads are the worst I have ever seen. Another thing which was bad was the hospitality. It was sad to see my home town was not inviting to new visitors. I like your blog but my heritage is Jamaican and lots of my Caribbean and Latin friends said your blog really does not showcase the diversity which makes New York City great which it's people and different ethnic foods. I still appreciate your blog.

The best time to walk Brooklyn heights is right after spring! I mean like mid may until june.
