Fantastic idea to do a Starcraft 64 event. As ridic as it is, the n64 version is how I was introduced to Starcraft. I remember loving Starcraft 64, and then having my mind absolutely blown away when I played the PC version. Starcraft 64 is such a meme :D Great vid!

Eventually I went to internet cafes and saw that the game was on the PC and much more optimized. I was completely blown away by the concept of an RTS game though, I went through the upds and downs of the game, fastest maps, customer UMS stuff, eventually got really competative and was a top tier competitor in Canada, played a few Korean pros on private servers. but yeah it all started with Starcraft N64 lol

More than one SCV can repair faster. Hold L locks cursor to look around the map. Press Z + L to hide mini map. Z+R advanced menu. L+dpad map location hotkey/shortcut, then just press dpad for selected map location. R+C buttons assign groups, each group can have 18 units, then press L+C to select group. R scroll through different unit groups on screen. I play this on my retroid pocket 3+.
Are they using an expansion pak? Some games lag a lot in multiplayer if they dont have it. Edit: They mentioned that you CANNOT play multiplayer with out the expansion pak.
I remember running sc brood war on 3 pcs that we through together from yard sales at my parents place with my brother and a few friends everyone would get there turn on the LAN party we had going. What damn great time in my life! 😄 NO AIR UNITS! can still hear my brother 😂😂
N64 joystick is easy to fix, you just need tiny rubber bands like the ones for braces open the case and wrap the rubber band around the stick ball and reassemble makes a huge difference.
The L button does nothing on it's own, you mean the R button cycles through. God almighty has anyone actually played this game. Sorry it's driving me mad.🙃

Hey Tasteles, Last video drove a friend and me crazy trying to figure out which game that cartridge on the left of the N64 was. Mario Party 3 JP version. We checked out hundreds of cartridge images until we realized in this video, its a Japanese N64! Even Starcraft cartridge was JP I think only a few people realize the treasures that were sitting on that table. Who was the owner anyway? did I miss that notion?

My fave thing about this version of Sc2 is the ability to play and switch between 2 race/build menus in the same match, just use Z+R.... so fun
