QUICK SIDE NOTE: As you can see in the proof gameplay in the end, on allot of possessions I walk up the court or sometimes I stop to give screener a chance to get ahead of me so I have enough space to crossover without making contact.
it isn’t that difficult to pull of but it will take a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it , its a good way of getting easy point rather than having to fight for every basket.
Also understand that everyone plays different some people press the court and other may have in the correct setting so there for you may get different results with this.

This is sweet -- nice find, bro. Subscribed -- you, Sam Pham and Da Czar are my three go-to's for 2k strategizing. Like the way you broke it down, showing it irl, showing it in the game and showing the mechanics. One small thing I have to take issue with -- you said catch hedge is the best P&R defense for the roll as well as the pop. I agree catch hedge is the best D for the roll, but I'm pretty sure pick and pop is how you expose catch hedge. If you think about it, the screener's defender has dropped down in the catch hedge position and the ball handler's defender is most often trying to catch up to the ball handler. This leaves the popper alone for a wide open middy. But I'm going to lab it some more to make sure. Peace.
appreciate the support. the way i use catch hedge helps me to stop or contest any pick and pops. as you can see from my greatest defensive settings video. after pushing through the screen i immediately switch to the hedge defender and run out to contest if i have to. this work for me majority of the time however my guys need to really fight around that pick for me to defend it succesfully. So for the most part this works but If i'm having trouble i throw a few other defensive settings in. like switch or i bring a double team from the closest corner. difficult to explain without a visual but i will show in one of my vids soon.
Thanks for the reply, my guy. Let me stipulate that you're better at 2k than I'll ever be. And I don't want to beat a dead horse, so this discussion is just so I can get better. I went back and rewatched your greatest defensive settings video, and while your defense is excellent, in all the play sets from 3:09 to about 3:49, the ball handler has a wide open midrange shot. I guess we have to pick our poison, and it's better to have the opponent beat you with a jump shot than a layup. I think it's good to start the game with catch hedge, but if the ball handler is burning you with midrange jump shots, I think you have to look to change catch hedge to a different P&R defense. Peace.

this vid was in myteam when freelance weren't accessible and i had enough spacing. but you can always run 4 out 1 in freelance with this.

@@havocc06 ye practise on freestyle helps but also you have to understand that certain shot types have a higher chance of going in for specific players. for example a player like kyrie is good and shooting off the dribble whether he is drifting left or right. Klay is great at just catch and shoot without dribbling necessary. but really you just want to just catch the ball and let you player stop on his own and then take the shot. that increases the chances of the shot going in especially if your release is good.

What I would do is drive with my pg and drive up to the free throw line and then I would call for a screen and my center would run across the court to come set the screen and I would play him the ball giving him an easy layup

Umm well i make sure the audio is on while playing. then i record with my game capture. for some reason when i record using the xbox one, the audio doesn't work. i don't know why this happens. so maybe you have to look into getting a game capture.

no way to save them bro. you have to pause and enter them every time. u do it enough you will be able enter them in within 10 seconds eventually.

@@smitherines876 old 2k didn't give you as much control over your team as these latest 2k's. Make sure you dont just enter the setting but you also remember how your team is going to respond in certain situations so you can capitalize. And make sure use a good playbook because scoring is allot difficult this year.

Cause this shit be annoying how I turn off adaptive engine and playbook is manual and they still run plays but maybe that's a series idk anyways , is there a way to make a custom playbook ? If not guess I'll just pick one play book and try to figure which plays give me the most options/freedom to drive and kick, also if I recall the only option for online was manual or auto play book so I'm guess again pause in game theres a way to change your playbook online ? Sorry not home to figure my self at the moment lol
@@smitherines876 ye they are probably running a freelance. You can modify your playbook. Go to gamplan and assign plays. Press y then LT then Y again and put in the plays you want. This will take more time so I suggest you just use the Mavs playbook and use the plays I show in my first 2k19 video.

I have an older 60 inch sharp tv, I can NOT time a jump shot on it to save my life. I just cannot release it in time, I don’t have this problem on my buddy’s tv or a small one I have at work. You ever heard of anything like that or am I totally nuts?

@@dariobrkic7561 you won't have control over that. Usually it will be your center but sometimes it may be another player.

I noticed that you inbound with your center everytime how do you choose who inbound with?
you cant choose , sometimes its either you center , pf or sf. i think the reason why my center usually is the one inbounding is because he always the one closest to the rim because i select crash defensive glass or i run in myself with him to grab the rebound.
