THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH you are the ONLY one i found that let me know that with a s shaped tone arm that shouldn't need to tilt the cart when setting the alignment/ overhang THANK YOU

Good instructional video. One thing though. It’s always a good idea to put the stylus cover on while adjusting the alignment and overhang so as not to bent the stylus tip. Which is very important.

My confusion is that it says on my deck which is a ATLP120 overhang of 16mm. My Tone arm wont even reach the spindle. Not even long enough to over hang it. Am I misunderstanding something? In terms of my amateur set up I have used a Stevenson protractor with a distance of 52.5. Is that al i need to do?

Sorry for any confusion here, I meant to say overhang of 15mm in this video and think I said 52 over spindle. Which is obviously wrong. With a Technics deck, the overhand from the tonearm mounting to the stylus tip should be 52mm. When this is done, this should roughly give you alignment to the Stevenson null points. Stevenson nulls points aim to minimize inner groove distortion. Being a Technics style copy, I believe the LP-120 should be similar and so the Stevenson gauge should be a good fit for you.
When you say the tonearm doesn't reach the spindle, do you mean without the headshell on? If so, this is normal.
Hope this helps a little. I need to make a new video on this topic now the channel is more established.

Just for a simple matter talking merry-go-round n taking so long nagging on the same subject using more wasted hearing it. Make it short.
