I tried it this way but it never seems to work particularly well. I run the brush straight to gather up all the dust into a line. Then I angle the brush outward. As I run the brush at an angle it pushes the dust down along the brush. I lift the brush and set it back down slightly further out each time, pushing the dust further and further out, until it's off the edge. Seems to work well for me.

I got one for Christmas with a new album. For some reason , I can hear 2 songs at once , sounds kindof warped ?

No abuse I promise but I can't agree that a Crosley has a place. If you can't afford a £150 turntable you are looking at a world of pain when you buy your first record . For the record I have a Rega 3rs but that's where the good news ends. Have ancient Wharfdale amp and gale speakers. Which together cost me about £120. The most important ingredients are the albums. A crosley tracks at around 5g and skips more than Skippy the bush kangaroo in a skipping contest. You would do less harm using your precious vinyl as tea coasters.

Heard the latter, and it was spectacular. Neither system is cheap though and the laser one only works with black vinyl?

I just on one and a two vinyl and on both sides of both of the vinyls at the same part it keeps repeating it's self and I don't know if it's the vinyls or the vinyl player can someone pls help

This was very helpful! I am a new record and record player owner! And I got a bit too excited when opening one of the records and I accidentally touched the grooves so now my record skips! I didn’t think it was the shipping or anything like that I knew it was probably my fault 😅, but I will definitely think about investing in some of these cleaning products!

Lp's can sell in much smaller numbers than in its heyday but dollar amounts will stay high. For instance, here in Chicago back in the seventies, eighties, and part of nineties, I paid $5.99 plus tax for new releases. A single purchase of a MOFI one step with tax, $137.81, that's 21.4 records that I used to purchase for that amount or 25.7 records for the limited AP releases. Not to mention most used records of recent releases do not necessarily go down in price and may climb in value. And of course the twenty plus thousand on a table and phono pre. When I paused and reflected on the money I spent in the last eight years on vinyl; well I bought a nice CD player and frankly will never go back to LP's(new purchase's) unless I really really want it. 99% of my new CD purchases are used, typically fifty cents to five bucks. I had(having) a lot of Lp's digitized, the idea of having complete operas of performances I like and not the shitty streaming I typically hear in one continuous flow is fantastic. I see people owning records purely as wall art; Taylor Swift? I understand that she makes very good recordings, I've never heard one though.

I'm on the edge of the fence to buy a Huminguru. I am going to experiment cleaning using only my vinyl VAC 33 system. I'm still putting together the "lazy susan" turntable and the connection to the wet/dry vac. I have a couple albums that seem noisy between cuts and one that is very noisy first cut. Very beginning of "I Want Freedom" Grand funk railroad. they recorded several starts and stops of the song because someone messed up and all of that waste of grooves is noisy. A lot of our problems with our treasures could be groove damage from handling or a bad pressing. I have opened "fresh" never-been-played...180 holy gram vinyl; and I see imperfections on the surface that are hard to detect with my ears.. I'm guessing that I'll get anal and buy the Humminguru and surfactant and use the Vinyl-Vac as a rinse (distilled water) and vacuum the rinse water off. First I'll listen using only the vinyl vac....then make a decision

I just use the "Vinyl" setting on my dishwasher. No fuss, No muss.

Hi. I have an 'old school' Dynaco preamp. I have a 2 RCA Male to 2 RCA Male Jack Stereo Audio Cable (from preamp) and a 3.5mm Male to 2RCA Female Stereo Audio Adapter (to PC mic jack). Could I use this setup and expect the same results as using a USB Audio Interface?

Doesnt make a difference that you can hear as can be done by blindfold test. as far as wow & flutter and anything else do the same blindfold test, wont be any measureable difference that you can hear.
