Both apps mentioned in the video are now paid services. For the cheapest option use RapidRadioCodes, who also have the highest customer ratings: www.rapidradiocodes.co.uk/manufacturers/bmw?ref=bsgarage
This is just FABULOUS! I’ve been listening to nothing but the sweet sweet sounds of my s54 for more than four years but variety is the spice of life!! Had to pay $10 to retrieve the code but it did work. Bravo.
Thank you so much you were the only person I found on the Internet that shows the information of putting it in by pressing the number individually multiple times to select the number
Hi guys. I was driving around in my Zed two days ago and finally got the ENTER CODE prompt. I followed your instructions and viola' , the radio came on! The trick for me was driving it for 1 hour. Thank you so much! Now I need to change out the rear center speaker because it's pretty much trashed.
So I did let car sit with in battery on engine off. Right around 90 minutes. Got home and was asking for the 4 digit code. Simple and easy. Yes app was $10 to order code but now I have radio and music. Thank you!!
Hi Leon, we can currently decode all Blaupunkt and Becker BMW models but Alpine models like yours are tougher, we may still be able to help if you contact us via the email on our website and send pictures of any numbers you can see on the radio unit.
Hi Edwin, to reset the WAIT status the radio needs to be left on with ignition in position 1 (with the electrics on, the engine isn't necessary) for up to an hour, this time delay may increase each time an incorrect code is entered.
Where can I get a replacement radio for a 2001 BMW 330i. My screen is dead but the channel it's on works. 🙂 Been worrying about the radio code if I took it out. Thanks for the video!!
Varies massively depending on region unfortunately, many in the UK will charge upwards of £50 (about 60 USD). We're able to decode these very same codes for just £4.99 (about $5 USD), and all we require is the serial number from the back. This is the cheapest you'll find these codes for anywhere, but unfortunately our other comment linking to our BMW decoder page was taken down by this channel because they don't seem to be interested in helping car owners, just recommending the more expensive app - maybe they're being paid for it. Either way our BMW service can be found by searching Google for "Rapid Radio Codes BMW".
Hey I got a 2010 Z4 with the professional head unit in it. I have changed out all of the cheep speakers with Beamer Tech speakers OMG what a difference it made. I'm changing out the head unit with another professional but this one has satellite radio in it. how do I get the code to restart this head unit. Thanks for your help on this
Hi, hope you can help me, I have a E46 1997 323i that requires a 5 digit radio code, but I have only a 4 digit code supplied with the car, I live in Australia. My radio head is different with a cassette deck but I can still bring up the menu holding down the "m" button but it only displays the Serial Number and no other button on the head unit allows me to cycle to any other option like the Region. Can you help?
Hey, I recently had to replace my radio, the radio and CD player work fine but my iDrive controls aren't working, would this fix that? Thanks in advance
Hi. Do you need to let it run for 90 minutes before you’re able to enter the code? Mine keeps flashing back to the CODE WAIT screen after I enter EUROPE as area and press right arrow key. The app worked great and have a code. But can’t seem to get to screen to enter it. Always goes right back.
Hello First off, great video! 2nd, I do have my Code, but my radio is a stock BMW radio, just that it doesn't have an LCD screen, how would I go about entering the code? My car is a 2008 550i Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! Unfortunately your 550i has an updated head unit compared to the early 2000s BMWs. I searched around a bit for your generation of 5 Series, but it seems like only a dealer can unlock it with a special scan tool.
Great video guys. Is there a way to override the dreaded "code wait"? I've read that you must leave the radio on for 90 minutes before it will allow you to enter the code. If so, I guess it's not a bad thing to drive my Z3 for 90 minutes!
Has it worked by any chance, I have the same issue and still haven’t had it popped up for me to enter the code so I’ve been without a radio for a long time!!
If anybody finds any other BMW radio code apps that actually work please post the link copy and paste it we will thank you unholy amounts trust me it'll save us a lot of money
just replace the head unit with an aftermarket. it will sound way better. my original stereo is in the trash in my shop right now if anyone wants it, with the unlock code.
There is no app I've looked at the easy hack website I've looked at the BMW decoder website looked on all the other websites none of them none of them show anything f****** helpful and all my radio does is just babe it doesn't show numbers it just says code and beeps and code and beeps and f****** feel stupid but I'm not so what the f*** is going on I've checked all the fuses there is nothing that is supposed to be wrong I have a 1995 525i 5 speed manual E34 this should not be a f****** problem and I even have the right radio code somehow it doesn't even work let me guess it doesn't work for anything under 2000 or 1998
Update: The iOS app makes you pay $11.00 now. My Business CD isn’t worth eleven bucks to me.. haha. Into the trash it goes! Thank you for the info, though- Great video!
hi there beautiful people. tried the App in Europe but there is no BMW to generate a code. you might could assist me and help me with the below model? Philips BMW Business RDS 22DC785 / 23F PH7850T1160911 if there is nothing you can do, I appreciate your help anyway.

Glad it helped! We had a hard time finding info on the topic and definitely want to get the word out.
Thank you so much you were the only person I found on the Internet that shows the information of putting it in by pressing the number individually multiple times to select the number

Huge help guys! Thanks for showing me exactly what to do to get the radio working again on my m roadster
iOS app doesn’t show BMW as one of the options. 🤔
It's true, did you find another app that works?
@@GabiMode BMW Radios are Blaupunkt, just choose that
Thank you. It worked. $10.99 for the code now!
I clicked the link to app but do not see bmw tile to choose from?
me have same problem
I downloaded the code app. But I don’t see a BMW option
Should be Blaupunkt, they are the manufacturer of the stereo head unit.
US 1999 e36 m3, my serial code is an AL instead of a BP, anything i can do ?
Hi Leon, we can currently decode all Blaupunkt and Becker BMW models but Alpine models like yours are tougher, we may still be able to help if you contact us via the email on our website and send pictures of any numbers you can see on the radio unit.
@bs garage
Does the app support bmw radios ?
(Also tell me if Apple or android)
Thank you much.
The app you suggested doesn’t give a bmw option

Thank you so much this video is a life saver - the dealership didnt even know about it
Glad we could help!
Ya'll are awesome!! This did the trick. Thanks for restoring my radio
The app covers only Blaupunkt models :(
5:07 what if the wait word doesn't go away to put in the code?
Wait for 30 minutes then you’ll have another 3 tries but they’re limited though
Hi Edwin, to reset the WAIT status the radio needs to be left on with ignition in position 1 (with the electrics on, the engine isn't necessary) for up to an hour, this time delay may increase each time an incorrect code is entered.

Hello, I bought a recorder from scrap BMW car, but it has a code, and I don't know the number. Can you help me? The car model is 1991
I don't think this method works for an E30, unfortunately
Thats a cool dude!
Anything any idea on a bmw radio that says disabled? I have a code but it doesn't ask for a code!!
هل يوجد حل
Sometimes they lock up after too many wrong entries and you need to wait for like an hour for it to reset.
It says disabled when there is no connection between instrument cluster and raidio.
I cant find BMW in the app
It will show up as Blaupunkt in the app!
Will this work on my 88 M3 radio?
I think 88 is too old for this... I want to say this style of stereo was introduced in the e36 generation.
BMW Compact. ???
i just tried this and its not free any more
What if the code is locked ? Someone entered the wrong code many times?
If it says code wait you have to wait an hour
not free anymore even iphone app is charging now
wtf lol …sweet ,thanks
If anybody finds any other BMW radio code apps that actually work please post the link copy and paste it we will thank you unholy amounts trust me it'll save us a lot of money

@@B2310DEV sorry...I took out the trash 2 weeks ago.
Tryd it on both android and iphone bmw option doesn't pop up I believe it's a scam or something
BMW is a Blau Punkt Radio
Yep, it won't be listed in the app as BMW, it'll be Blau Punkt.
Would this work with my e30 too
I'm not positive, but guessing that these head units were on the E36 and maybe E46. I doubt they were on the E30...
Either that or it dosent work anymore

Bummer!
They don’t have it for BMW anymore.
It's likely that the head unit brand is Blaupunkt and not labeled as BMW.
Ye cool, it's really "free". What a joke.
