I am installing M.2 ssd of 128gb kingston 22x42cm in m.2 ssd slot and samsung ssd of 500gb as primary slot and 2tb normal HDD in caddy by removing dvd rom. Also adding 8gb ram with 4gb so will get 12gb total ram in my Lenovo ThinkPad L440 core i3 4th generation Laptop.

Hi, thank you for this brilliant tutorial. I am upgrading my L440 to have 3 SSD's but I had one question please. When you replaced the old HDD to the Seagate 2TB normal HDD, you didn't put the cover back on, will this be the case when I upgrade mine also? Or did you put the cover back on after the video?

@@ラウこI’m late too but yes you can install 3 ssd on l440, you can replace the dvd driver to ssd.. and its m2 2242

there are hardly any limits to that, depends on your pocket ( i would max out max 2 tb , otherwise you might have problems with your OS)

@Murphy.0 if you have already ssd of 2.5inch then speed will be same . But in case you have ordinary sata hdd 2.5 inch then yes definitely you will have extra ordinary speed after installing ssd

@@toncho1986 dear friend, m.2 nvme is the latest technology which can be install on 8th generation laptop and onwards, Lenovo E450 is an old generation which have only m.2 ssd, so if you want to install m.2 ssd on your lenovo e450 then buy m.2 ssd sata 22x42

slim size, usually for 4th generation and so on, one which came for older generation was little thick which usually fits in 1st 2nd and 3rd gen laptops which will definately not fir in lenovo l440

Yes cpu can be upgraded from i3 to i5 and i7 and i5 to i7 and also i7 to i5 or i3.
But procedure is little complicated.
Basically laptop will get open for doing that.
Other then that
Dell latitude series are more easy to exchange processors

There are 2 size if caddy comes, one big size usually and mostly for 1st 2nd and 3rd generation and smaller one is for slim laptop machines usually and mostly for 3rd and 4th and further generation.
Smaller size of caddy is for lenovo l440

This is discontinued model and most probably may find in used and online also selling but used, i have bought from local shop, he took it out from another laptop machine, because here in my country, mostly like to buy normal hdd with 2.5 sdd only, and msata or m.2 ssd left over in shops for those who know the importance of it

no... l440 leptop support 1600mhz speed ddr3 ram.. if u add 8gb +8gb then its work very fast... i have used only 8+4 total 12gb.. and with m.2 pcie mini ssd 128gb.. my leptop works very fast and smooth... nice ..thanks to this vedio..
