Yeah it is quite weird but the thing that amazes me is how he generates so much power with that “power slap forehand “ as I call it which I haven’t seen anyone else who can do it quite like him, seems like he can hit it anywhere he wants in the court plus he’s so casual in his play style - really hope he comes back to play tennis again as every match I’ve watched him play is entertaining and while he can be controversial to a lot of people you have to admit he has some serious talent
What makes Nick so good along with his natural talent is that he doesn’t add too much pressure on himself in high stakes situations. Genuinely good example of how to handle being match point down, relax and trust your game.
Well, you know, I reckon that, yeah, to some extent, he does that. But, you see, when he's really under a lot of pressure and can't come up with any good ideas, he just tries to mess with the other person's head, you know, using those mind tricks and stuff, just like what happened here. And if that doesn't do the trick, he completely loses focus and goes crazy.
@@Amr_D what have you done, career-wise, dingleberry? nick has been trying to get over injury. what, you want him to keep trying to play tennis, and exacerbate the injury the whole time? would that be a smarter thing to do in your estimation? the guy has beaten every major player besides carlos, has been officially the 11th best human being on planet earth at his chosen endeavor, and in your estimation he sHoUlD hAve sTaYeD hOmE aNd sUrFeD. seriously, what have you done in your life?
i've had similar mentality issues to kyrgios in tennis (without the talent) and i think he wore out most of his frustration in the first two sets, sometimes you get it out of you early and are able to just settle down and focus.
Didn't watch this match live, but I remember refreshing the page every five seconds waiting for the score to update during that second set tiebreak. Honestly so intense, even if I couldn't see anything.
Kyrgios is an absolute joy to watch. It seems like he never even breaks a sweat with his casual, effortless play. A true entertainer and he's missed with his absence in the past couple years.
What do you think the match outcome would be if Kyrgios (in his 2022 season form, not current form) played Alcaraz today? Why do you think this? (serious question).
In his posts he seemed excited for laver cup and I think he'll want to play some matches to get some form Imo he's 100% playing us open but it's up to his wrist issue if he plays more

I don't think he will , he's taking time out for injuries , he likes a high end lifestyle that takes cold hard cash! Even being a multi millionaire these days doesn't last long unless every million spent gets topped back up ! Time will tell .
Kyrgios' backhand is so weird, he hits it with literally no spin but it still is a very reliable shot.
never seen someone with the ability to change the angle of the shot on the two-handed backhand like kyrgios
abbreviated swing but he compromises by rotating his hips a lot
he has a very weak backhand, some times he hits good shots with It but It surley is his worse weapon

Is it me or does it look like nick is just chilling. He can't even be bothered to chase some of the balls that he could have gotten.
Still wondering what got Frances so pissed with the umpire?
Never seen him this hot, he takes his hometown tourney seriously and that’s dope to see.
He was pissed at NK, but also the umpire who didn't give him a warning for his antics. But at the end of the day the mind fuck was successful for NK.
