Did you see the dishroom? I have worked for corporate restaurants and they are the cheapest of the cheap. Corporate takes all the money for themselves, it is what it is. While they drive around in company cars, talking on company phones, paying for gas with their company credit cards a dishwasher like Sky is getting slammed in the dishroom. It was obvious to me that they should have had two dishwashers for the amount of dirty dishes they had there. Corporate most likely decided they could not afford another 9 dollar an hour dishwasher because it wasnt busy enough at the moment. When big boy got thrown into the fire he bitched about not having enough training to wash dishes. Its simple, spray the dishes, send them through the machine and then stack them when they come out. The reason he was frustrated is because it was a messy job and the amount of dishes were overwhelming and he knew it.

lol I dont feel sorry for Sky one bit. I used to do dishes..that mess is laziness...I could bust them out. Maybe if he wasnt so busy calling people bitches he would have time for the dishes.

I’m surprised that none of the locations had Anthony Wedo train in on the carving station so he could ask little girls what grade they’re in at school.

I worked at Hometown Buffet for “4” months, in Covina, Ca, over 20 years ago. It was a JOKE!!! 6 days a week for 30 hrs. The harder you worked, the worse you got treated. I’ll NEVER work in the food business again for as long as I live. Now, they’re closing different locations left & right. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

I really like and am impressed with the rewards he gave his competent employees. He was generous and rewarded deserving people. The dishwasher he was generous with too because he should have been fired and thrown out the door!

i'm NOT impressed with Anthony yelling at the manager and NOT listening to the manager say he had two other managers over him. Like, there's a limit to what the guy can do, and he can be vetoed by the other 2 - so HE's supposed to fix it? Anthony should have pulled the other 2 into a meeting - talked to all three, and fixed the management issues, not yelled at the one manager that was trying to do a 3 person job.

    What a freakin JOKE!!!
We used to have one of these old country buffets here in my town, when they opened they were good, but as the years went by...they went down hill fast...
Even faster after this showing of undercover boss...
The food quality was degrading, the place was dirty, I had friends that worked here...in their words: The kitchen appliances were ALWAYS breaking down, the dishwasher was nearly always broken, the kitchen staff was always having to wash dishes by hand!
You could go get a clean plate at the buffet lines and 50% of time find dirty dishes mixed in with clean ones.
My family of five ( 2 adults, 3 child's ) used to be a regular customer of this restaurant, but when you're paying over $60 usd, to eat here for a unsatisfactory dining experience...well it's NO surprise they shut down after chapter 11 bankruptcy!
What a great job this CEO did for himself in this undercover boss...WHAT A PILE OF CRAP.

Some of them probably guess but play it along as they know appearing telegenic will reward them handsomely at the end of the shows. Others probably haven't got a clue.

To bad Anthony was not around in 2008 when Buffets filed chapter 11 for the first time. Buying into Fire Side Mountain and Ryan's Steak House was a mistake at the time because both companies were in bankruptcy.

Instead of spending money on plates, etc. It should have been used on making better recipes.

Not everybody likes onions & green peppers in their food. Putting onion in the seafood salad is a big mistake. The only thing you can taste in onion. At one time someone had a really dumb idea of having crab cakes, big mistake, really a bad taste.
