How I WON a Pokémon Nuzlocke Race

- @Alpharad challenged me to a Nuzlocke race of Pokémon Emerald against him, @jaidenanimations, @cjya, @failboat, and @yakirisu! After the 6 of us finished drafting 25 Pokémon through a snake style draft, we would set out to race through the Hoenn region to find out which streamer could become the champion fastest. With all of my nuzlocking experience, this was sure to be a piece of cake...watch as I leave Alpharad, Jaiden Animations, cjya, Failboat, and Yaki in the dust!

It was Meteor Falls.
It's amazing how neck and neck it was at the end between you and Jacob were at the end now knowing that you had a 3rd technical issue the race wasn't paused for.
Yeah Kidd would've fucking ran away with it if not for those technical issues. Even if everyone paused and didn't get ahead of him, that momentum and spirit was lost for a bit and took awhile to get back. And of course, Flash was lost.
It's unironically really inspiring how Braden let the popular meme of him fumbling the bag in a gen 3 nuzlocke fuel him to be an incredible gen 3 nuzlocker.
After everything you've been through, you've earned this win big time.

He’s gone from botching up a Gen 3 Nuzzlocke with the unintentional death of an Onix to taking the crown over 5 other content creators with very intense and careful planning, in the same generation.
That’s some real character development right there.

For those wondering about the mentioned Explosion Meditite plan for Tate and Liza, here's how it works:
Lead Boomer and 1 hp medicham. T&L see kill with both into Medicham, so you detect. The boomer can get hit from Claydol eq here as long as it doesn't die to new gen crits. Boom onto your detect, killing your boomer, Xatu, and Claydol. Send out a fake out Mon and fake out one of Solrock and Lunatone while reversal ohkoing the other. Reversal ohko the last Mon to get a quick Tate and Liza with one planned death and hype TH-cam content.

Honestly, adding all of the Pokemon Master’s Elite 4 Remixes for each of the respective Trainers made the ending to this so awesome. Phenomenal editing.

Easy fix for races like these. Have a timer going from the start of the race to the end. If you have problems like you did and have to restart from the absolute start then you restart the timer. So at the end of the day you all compare timers… then they dont have to wait. Such a simple answer

I'm just still suprised nobody took Chansey or anything. I understand the logic behind the decision but it's SUCH a safe pick.
Serene grace w/ softboiled, calm mind and any 2 coverage moves you want could probably deal with well over half the battles in the match in case you dont have a mon to reliably deal with it.
With how many people didn't get any fire mons due to the sun team it made a good susbstitue. Smeargle as well in a way but. I get why Smeargle got left out for a race.

I think the play for Sceptile is to delay Treecko's evolution until you get energy ball at level 37, since you aren't really using it until Tate and Liza, and energy ball is much better than leaf blade because it is special.
Although I guess evolution cutscenes are time killers

This video is really making me want to try my egg nuzlocke again. Make a random box of eggs, randomly select 5 to go with my starter and that's my starting team. Everytime I lose a pokemon randomly add one of those eggs to the team. I did it on y back in 2020 and really want to do it again. But I'm waiting to see what gets announced on the 27th in case there is more pokemon getting added to gen 9

I quickly glanced through your spreadsheets. Why was Aerodactyl so high in Gen 1, and is Gyarados really better than Alakazam? IMO teleport outpaces any battle advantage.
@@owenaspinall2046 I'd take the ability to setup and sweep the elite four over a small overworld advantage in the early game any day of the week
@@owenaspinall2046 If they had to do magma and aqua I would agree that alakazam would be better, but they didn't have to deal with that part of the game so less time would be saved from the pick.

Honestly I’ve stepped on so many pointy things that it doesn’t bother me anymore. Yeah I’ve had glass in my foot for about 4 days, yes I’ve had many splinters, yes I’ve stepped on legos, but I’m gonna still walk inside and outside barefoot. Sometimes when it’s hot I like washing my car and I purposely get my socks soaking wet to help me cool down. I don’t mind wet socks, I DO mind wet sleeves
That..sounds like a big problem..not being bothered by pain is a problem, it can lead to you ignoring signs something is wrong and ending up in serious trouble because of it; it's why when people say they're jealous of people born unable to feel pain usually people retort back "you should be glad you weren't"..those people get hurt a lot, risk infections, and all kinds of other stuff because they can't even tell when they're hurt or if they need to go to a hospital
