Factoring in shiny, 31 ATK IV, perfect nature, female, AND Pokerus, this Totodile has a 8.73E-11% chance of existing. If my calculations are right, you'd have a better chance at winning the lottery than replicating this Totodile.

Kidd is all about the narrative, rather than showing us all the move deliberations and damage calcs. The fact that he killed the shiny Ho-Oh after hunting it puts him solidly in the category. Having the transgender Heracross makes the story more interesting, so I go with it. If pchal did something like that, I'd be seriously annoyed because he's all about the numbers. Also, the one Poketuber that I think fits across both categories is FlygonHG. He somehow manages to go into the nerdy details and still tell a good story. Totally underrated.
First shiny stories? Alright. My first shiny was also Gen 3. It was a beautiful blue Electrike in Sapphire, caught under Cycling Road. I named them Sapphire as it was only too fitting. Unfortunately, my copy of Sapphire is fake, it's in a gray cart not a blue one, but don't judge, it was a gift that was bought at a sale at my primary school, kinda like a yard sale with a school's assembly hall instead of a yard. Since the cart was fake and my Gen 4 game Diamond detected as such, there was no migrate option. In fact, it erased the save of the Sapphire cart so... yeah. o7 for my first shiny too I guess.

I was given some false information stating that if I were to use a ton of repel/max repel and walked around the grass around the Shrine then I would be able to catch a Celebi !!! I tried this for HOURS if not days to no avail. I even started to try different patches of grass in other surrounding routes. I probably encountered others , but the one that sticks out in my memory , was a shiny sparkly Chansey and I accidentally K.O'd it and to this day it still haunts me !! I'll never forget it as the Chansey that got away =/ ======================================

Since the cart was fake and my Gen 4 game Diamond detected as such, there was no migrate option. In fact, it erased the save of the Sapphire cart so... yeah. o7 for my first shiny too I guess.

I was playing pokemon unbound and I was hatching eggs to fill out my dex. The game was on high fast forward the first egg I went like wait is that shiny but I decided to hatch the rest of them before checking and the last one of the bunch was actually a shiny totodile

29:02 Dude!! I had a very similar encounter occur once when I was playing Pokemon Crystal.. I was given some false information stating that if I were to use a ton of repel/max repel and walked around the grass around the Shrine then I would be able to catch a Celebi !!! I tried this for HOURS if not days to no avail. I even started to try different patches of grass in other surrounding routes. I probably encountered others , but the one that sticks out in my memory , was a shiny sparkly Chansey and I accidentally K.O'd it and to this day it still haunts me !! I'll never forget it as the Chansey that got away =/ ======================================
