Ground was actually a very fitting type choice for the team rocket leader. It was dirty, it was underground, and earthquakes are some of the most powerful and terrible forces in japan
It had a stronger connection to the particular brand of evil that team rocket had than poison and even the later introduced dark type
And its effective against pikachu.
Team Rocket is mostly an "underground" organization
really wish you could rematch the leaders again after the episode finished though... want to hear those epic themes again

HennerzLennerz Giovanni appears i the Battle Agency with his theme, and you can us all post-game themes, including legendary themes, online.

You can use these themes in Battle Tree, as well as what everyone else said. But yeah, I agree: these guys were tough! It's a shame you can't rematch them on a dime.

Interesting end.....it kinda hints that Giovanni has not fully played his hand yet, that he has more in reserve than we saw, but decided it was better to not risk those losses and retreated, preserving his forces rather than take a risky bet and throw everything at a power he may not defeat and thus lose his advantage. He kept his reserves intact, while also not letting us know just how much he has in reserve, only that he figuratively would have had a good chance at crushing us with it but decided not to risk the chance of losing. Kind of shows forethought that has been missing from the majority of the villains in this series, nice to see.
Doesn't help that he didn't even seem slightly fazed at all by getting beaten, kind of gives off the vibe that he let us have this battle so he could be assured to win next time.
Hopefully he shows up more of that puree of evil Ghetsis told us about
And hopefully he'll amp up his team and give us something more challenging

This battle was so good to be true. I enjoyed every second of it. The music, the conversation, how Giovanni accepted defeat like an actual hero of a big finale. I really wish I'll have the chance to enjoy something like this again!!!!

Everybody in Team RR uses Master Balls for all of their pokemon, it's meant to show Team Rainbow Rockets ability to abuse the wormholes, they were somehow able to gather an immense amount of incredibly rare pokeballs to supply the entire team, they have more Master Balls than could be found in a single country (in one of the games, somebody mentions that there are only a dozen or so in the entire region, that means they have somehow accumulated more MBalls than can be found in basically an entire country).
It also hints into the sheer scale and preparations that Giovanni has put into his new RTR, this organisation is meant to be the big bad of basically the pokemon multi-verse.
vc180191 And do keep in mind this Giovanni is from a universe where he succeeded in his goals and one of his actions was taking over silph co. to get the master ball presumably after he succeeded in doing that he found a way to mass produce them

well, if you notice, he is missing one pokemon.
after looking at this in game, I now think that this whole rainbow rocket thing was just completely shoehorned in.
The Rainbow Rocket Episode is kinda the part of this game (or the entire game in general) where the Multiverse Theory really smacks you over the head.
So Guzma goes from being our enemy in the main storyline to an important ally in Episode Rainbow Rocket.

Saying this now in 2021 while we are currently in gen 8. If we have Giovanni appear again in a future game, whether it is another gen 8 or future gen game, keep quiet about it. Whether it is in the main game or post game, keep quiet so when we see Giovanni and/or team rocket it will be amazing.

You know what's crazy? I did this part today and breezed through since I had a level 78 Milotic and Scald one hit everything! Except for Mewtwo but all it took was one hydro pump and a Scald and I one lol
I wonder if HGSS celebi event actually meant something and that Giovanni really went through worlds to get all of these leaders and created RR, I hope there is something soon since Annabel was weird as well how she came to be from Pokémon emerald and that world is not directly connected to the games after XY because of megas I wonder what’s gonna happen next in the story since we’ve gotten absolutely nothing in galar I mean ofc we wouldn’t but hopefully soon.

My Krookodile Golduck and Hariyama made short work of Giovanni and his Mewtwo and beat him perfect without a Z power move Giovanni is only hard if you don't have the right pokemon team to win our not the right move set versatility is very important in pokemon battling knowing all pokemon strength weakness and type advantage is very important master these tips and you will become a pokemon master
