I’m literally going to watch all your videos before I sit my A2 exams. I’m so glad I found your TH-cam channel because you explain everything so clearly and concisely which makes it so much easier for me to understand all the topics. You’re a legend Miss Estruch!
Hi your videos are so so helpful, thank you! Do we need to know about purines and pyrimidines? I can’t find them on the spec but was taught about them in class.
Thank you. Purines and pyrimidines are often taught as extra information, but it is not on the new AQA specification that you need to know about them so you would not be questioned on them in an exam.
Is the condensation reaction to form a polynucleotide between the the deoxyribose sugar of 1 nucleotide + the phosphate group of another separate nucleotide? Thanks
Hello, thank you! I have all the content made, and I just have the final 2 videos to upload - Enzyme function Factors that affect enzymes. Both should be uploaded next week.
@@MissEstruchBiology okay great Im going into year 13 and have mocks when I get back and love to use your videos for revison, just wondering how much of the course do you have left to upload?
6 Y12 videos (2 x enzymes, mitosis, monoclonal antibodies, genetic code and protein synthesis. For Y13, most of topic 5,6 and 7 are uploaded, but i still have a fair few in topic 6 to go. Good luck with the mocks!

@@behappy1452 Hello, I don't remember seeing it a question, but if it was it would be considered an application question and something that would be possible to answer using the information provided. Some teachers may discuss it (I used to also in lessons) to give a more detailed understanding of the process.

Hello,
no, that is not on the specification but it could be useful beyond the specification information for the essay on paper 3.
Thank you, your videos are really good
You're so welcome and I'm glad it was helpful.
I don’t get why the phosphodiester bond is represented as one (bold blue) line if it’s actually 2 lines (2 ester bonds)?
I was taught about purines and pyrimidines but can't find this on the spec - should I still learn it? Great videos by the way :)
Thank you.

Hello ,
Yes, but you don't need to know about the 5 prime and 3 prime carbon positions.
