Thank you so much for sharing this! I live in Pennsylvania, USA, and may never get a chance to visit this lovely park. You did an awesome job filming. No shaking or bouncing around. Bravo!! ❤
Really good camera work - thank you! Nice slow, steady panning and interesting angles. Thank goodness for no 'hosepiping'! You gave a very nice overview of the place and it's residents. Enjoyed it v much 👍
It's a great place and they are certainly not in cages. All of these primates have been rescued from terrible lives & now live a far better life thanks to Alison & the great late Jim.Well worth going there.
Love love Monkey World! I really liked when Alison and Jim did vids put on UTube really helped get me thru pandemic. Alison also told us many things about the animals. Educated us along the way.
Whò was the chimp @ 8:00 in? Good looking character and what a pleasant disposition for being in a zoo-like home. That tells you how welĺ they take care of thèse precious guys.😊
Pretty sure that’s Buxom. He’s a member of the bachelor group and has been 2nd in command since 1996. He’s seen three different leaders from 1996-2016, 2016-2018 and 2018-present. He was born in 1982 (age 41) from Port Lympne Zoo and joined Monkey World in 1993 following the closure of Windsor Safari Park. He joined MW with his older sister Bixa (46 years old and is a member of Bart’s group), his half-brother Jestah (41 years old and who lives in the same group as Buxom) and his Nephew Arfur (30 years old and is the son of Bixa and legendary chimp Rodney. Arfur lives in Hananya’s group which used to be Rodney’s). Fun fact: his brother Jestah was the group leader from 2016-18.
That's great isn't it? So she and her team can rescue more primates from the pet trade, care for those rescued at the centre, and help primates in their home countries via their partners across the world. I don't begrudge one penny.
You should do your enquiries first before judging. They are not in cages. The rooms are their bedrooms and come and go as they please. They may be locked in at night?. They have plenty of outside space to roam around and the keepers are always finding ways of keeping them occupied. Monkey World is a rescue centre. Most of them have been rescued from labs, peoples home, tourist trade. There has been the odd monkey/ape born there. but all of them are wild and not tame.

I went to monkey world when I was a baby but I can't remember it that well so I really want to go there again.
I go every time I get a chance to visit Dorset. The apes have such an awesome sense of humour.
I’d love to visit!

The monkeys look bored. What is done to entertain them, to activate their mind and mood?
Didn't you see the enrichment they provided? They're hanging all over their enclosures.
@@Tikis-World You got it. Static enrichments and bored vegetating monkeys! Monkeys need to exercise their minds, they ar3e intelligent creatures.4
don't tease them with food.
Look at the zoo attendance. She is raking in the doe.

@@Spike-ck5tj yes I agree!!
@user-lc6uw6ei2o it's sad they have to rescue them in the first place but yes I agree it all goes to a great cause 👍
I'm glad they are! How else are they going to not only rescue more primates but build new/refurbish old enclosures?
So WHAT. I CANNOT. Imagine how much it cost to feed these PRIMEATES & HIRE STAFF TO HELP DO NOT JUDGE. PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!
I
